I would like to see your technique of re-seating the left hand of a soprano sax where the pearl covers most of the key. I really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot.

I deactivate the springs and let the key fall by itself and no light is seen and then I adjust with the spring

Does calling the position of the pad back/front change based on what direction the key arm is attached, or is “back” always used to label the side nearest the player?

Great question! In general the back would be the key arms for the left and right hand stack pads, and the front would be the side of the pad that faces the player (in the right hand for example). For the other pads you could use the positions North South East West as reference to check. But usually the back is considered where the pad cup is connected to the key arm.
