Thanks for showing us around Jeff. I have been living on mine for 14 months now. i am visiting on land after spending every night on the water. I will never go back to suburbia. no power bill for 14 months, sold my car so no rego insurance etc etc. just my yacht and bike. My girlfriend has been with me for the 14 months and loves it. The hardest part was finding someone who can shed the shackles of living like everyone else and dreaming. Now we live the dream. I like how you have adapted to your environment. People talk about being GREEN for the environment, yet live aboards must be the most environmental people on the planet.

Very enjoyable video. The work you have done to acommodate the boat to meet your comforts and lifestyle is great. It is something I would like to do also. I have a 35 foot pearson and hope to remodel and enhance my boat for my retirement in a few years. Thanks for sharing.

Thank-you Jeff for the incite into your life aboard. I think you have done a wonderful job of the set up. I have watched this video several times and enjoy the way you have made it home. I love the way you have done your heating. Don't forget to watch your ventilation!! Love It, it is easy to feel your comfortable living and satisfaction

Jeff, I keep coming back to view your video again and again. I love it. It's very cool how you have put so much work in her making it your own special place. I also search tiny homes on youtube and I seem to have a passion for small cozy interiors. Your's is no different. I think living on your boat with all the upgrades is probably very special and comfortable. I have a very small 23 footer at a lake and spending weekends aboard now. Thanks for the videos!

Many thanks to everyone for your kind comments,I never thought I would have so many views when I made this video!
Its 19 months on now, and I'm still living on-board and sailing around ,not much has changed, and Im still very happy with my life.I cant imagine not living on my boat, if I go away from her, after a few days I cant wait to get back to my man cave! So I reckon I'm a lucky man to have found a happy life. Take care everyone and good luck!

Hi Jeff, thanks for the tour, great set up. I bought a Macwester Rowan Crown 24 3 years ago, not for living on just weekend fun. Although I live about 5 minutes drive from Brighton Marina I keep it in Southampton. Might see you over the Isle of Wight sometime. All the best

Jeff...I enjoyed this video. I live in Mobile, Alabama, and own a 1996 Beneteau 42s7 which I truly enjoy. While I don't live on it, because it's forty miles from my home but just across the river from my work, I spend a few nights each week living on board. It saves me from driving back and forth. My wife enjoys her time with her mother so it leaves me free to enjoy my boat. I love the way you've adapted the boat to fit your lifestyle and taste. I'm baffled how you guys deal with the severe tides and mud, which would drive me nuts. Our tides are usually never more than a couple of feet at worse and that's only a few times a year. Take care!

Hello Jeff. I was really interested in your video (I have been watching quite a few of these live aboard videos), and I am so happy for you that you are doing something that makes you happy. Do all these things while you can and never regret a thing. I like to live my dreams through people such as yourself - I am only 59, but disabled since 2009 with another serious health problem, and I regret not doing more with my life, apart from muck it up! So, good for you and enjoy every moment of every day :)

Very cool, I love what you have done with her. This is something my wife and I would love to do in the winter months after the kids are grown and I retire. We live in western NY, our winters are far from fun lol. I would love to get a boat and sail down the east coast to find warmer weather. In the summer we can stay at our cabin. Do you ever worry about ice damaging your home in the winter? I like the heaters you made do they keep up when it's really cold out? Thanks for sharing,
    ATB, Steve...

TH-cam decided I should revisit this video. I did see this in 2014 and and in 2017 I bought my current boat to live on. Also very happy with my man cave. So much room to tinker. Only error I made is buying to big, a 42 ft steel ketch. 32 ft is so much more efficient to sail on your one, to heat and all.

You may want to rethink storing your propane tank so close to the cabin opening. I heard somewhere that propane gas is heavier than air. If that's true, then it's possible for leaking propane gas to go down into your cabin, when the tank is placed so close to your cabin entryway. For safety sake, I always keep the propane tank at the very back of the boat, near the transom.

Hi Geoff, what is the model? I have 1972 Wight 30, that had been a live aboard. I have been updating and have been stumped as to what to about the head/hull lining that was polystyrene plastered over! I think I am going to go for the pine. Hot and cold pressure water, a double sink unit, microwave, cool box failsafe cooker all off ebay. Your boat looks very cosy.Len.

hi hi captain, Jeff I think you've got it nailed. I've had boats since the '80s and lived on one for 5 years. it is an addiction and i yearn to go back living on a boat.. The creature that understands you will be the one who is or want to live on a boat too! question, all that pine paneling did you find a way to eliminate moisture behind the paneling? I love the idea of doubling the plastic panel in the hatch cover to eliminate condensation, why didn't I think of that!!
