Lovely documentary. Really informative and fabulously well made. Well done! Would love to see an update, especially with the recent issues surrounding what is and what isn't continuous cruising which this gongoozler would like to know more about :-)
Hi, the music is from my talented friend's (th-cam.com/users/misterlaurenceowen) old band Carmelite. They are no longer together, so you are unlikely to find the song online.
+kelly croxford look at many, all different, inboards, outboards, use a reputable broker, lots of scams on ebay and pre loved and a free bristol rag that shall remain nameless
I guess the cost of feeding yourself is quite cheap living on a canal boat, what with all the free ducks etc on offer swimming around just in hands reach! 😋
+Scott Campbell I did a lot of research and asked a lot of people on their views. I think there are a lot of points made about the difficult aspects of living on a boat, the cold winters and licence issues for example... I never once came across someone who overwhelmingly wouldn't recommend it, like yourself. But then not everyone wanted to take part in the documentary.
Brilliant little documentary loved it. :-) Thanks for sharing.
Amazing, thank you very much for this! I'm wishing to move onto the water very soon!
Thank you for producing a lovely film about life on the water.

A great watch, thanks for posting. it would be great to see part 2 "A day in the life on London's canals"
I really enjoyed watching that.😊
A really good little film with interesting characters. I'd like to have heard a bit about how they coped with damp and condensation though.
+Londonfogey one word, dehumidifiers
Its surprising that the total views-tally isn't higher, I've watched this a dozen times.
One great film....Thankyou for posting.....

I really enjoyed watching that. How and where do you wash your clothes, as this would help with my life time ambition.

Most boats have generators that supply electricity and they are a lot more roomy then most think.
this is a lovely documentary as I'm considering a life like this soon. I also love cameras and would love to know what one you filmed this with?
***** filmed on a Canon 7D with one old pentax 50mm prime lens and a canon 24-105mm. Glad you enjoyed it. thanks

That's right. If you use the correct net you can catch yourself a blue whale. That should last you a few months.
I lived on a narrow boat for a year and hated it. expensive and hard life. not how its portrayed in this
