Some things I have (because I am extra😂) on our budget:
For christmas I also include donations as we like to have the kids think about the less fortunate. We also have a party budget as we host and go to parties during the holidays! I also include extra gas money for christmas and thanksgiving.
Other holidays I add money to (mostly for extra food): Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day and Thanksgiving. It just helps knowing we have extra saved to buy anything we may need for a bbq/fireworks or if we don't need much extra for that holiday I will use the rest for stocking up on sales around that holiday (ketchup, mustard, etc)!
I sure do love having that money already set aside for guilt free spending and fun!
I like to budget monthly for our yearly tax return expense (we usually get money back, but to send it in costs $100-200), we save monthly for our future car, for a future big milestone anniversary trip and kids camp each summer!

Thanks so much for showing how you break this all down for the year. I had wondered how you factored the monthly amounts! I have done sinking funds like this in the past but not detailed enough, so it hasn’t always been as useful as it could be. I would love to get a printable of this if possible and appreciate you offering to do so! Not trying to be completely invasive, but what bank do you use/how are you able to have so many different categories or accounts? My bank offers a spend, a reserve, and a growth only and I feel like I’m missing out! 😂
Hi! I can definitely work on getting a printable up! I use a small branch credit union (they have like two locations). Credit unions seem to offer this more than banks I’ve found!

Hello. I have a question? Is this budget for 2024? I’m asking because you’re dividing by your yearly paychecks and that would only work for December. I just wanted clarification for myself or others. Thank you for all you do.
This is for 2023. My husband gets his last paycheck of the year before Christmas so I’m able to count it into my budget for the year! :) hope that helps!
