Dr Wanka 😂😂😂
it said not Willy Wonka. Oh, Willy Wanka!
I very much prefer the 2005 one. I dislike the 1971. not just because it's so not accurate to the book, but the script is just silly and pointless imo. plus Wonka acted there like a pedo which pissed me off. Johnny Depp NAILED the character of Wonka, to the point he wasnt even recognized as Johnny anymore!
It was the 2005 version that wasn't accurate to the book. In the book Violet does not do Karate, Mike Teavee wears a cowboy suit complete with guns, Mr. Buckett does not get his job back at the toothpaste factory, and Charlie does not turn down inheriting the factory at first. The only way in which the original wasn't accurate is that in the book Charlie and his grandfather do not steal fizzy lifting drinks (unlike in the movie.)
@@YouthFreedomFighters Dahl hated the old version his wife was a key producer in the 2005 one the 2005 version is far more accurate to the books especially the characters
@@BenDBeast The 2005 version was completely inaccurate with the characters of Violet and Mike.
@@YouthFreedomFightersneither are exactly accurate to the books, but the 2005 one overall is more accurate than the 1970 one. I personally love both movies and like the different directions they went. I’m glad they’re both different to each other
@@DouglasTheAlien The only way in which the 2005 is more accurate to the book is that Charlie didn't steal the Wonkalift (as he didn't steal it in the book) and they had squirrels instead of geese in the scene where Veruca goes down the garbage chute. Aside from that, especially with the children, the 1970 one was more accurate.
1971 version is the best 🎉
My favorite Willy Wonka is the great Gene Wilder he is and will always be Willy Wonka.

I'm sorry but I still go with the 1971 original the 2005 Completely missed the point and made it what it isn't Even Gene Wilder did not like the new version. And if I remember correctly NONE of the original "Wonka" kids were fans of the new one. So the ORIGINAL WINS OUT as usual
Yes I agree although apparently Roald Dahl didn't like the original and I can understand why as in the book Charlie and his grandfather do not steal the fizzy lifting drinks.
The Wilder version isn’t the original both are adaptations of the book.
Depp played the part perfectly. Wonka has always been a dark and twisted character the Wilder version is beloved but completely inaccurate to how the character should be and Roald Dahl despised it. Dahl's wife was a crucial part in the creation of the Depp version and made sure it captured how the character should be. The story also reflected the nature of the book much more as well.
Overall the 2005 version is far superior and people only prefer the older one due to nostalgia.
@@BenDBeast No in the book Violet didn't do Karate and Mike wore a cowboy suit, complete with guns. Depp might've been a better Wonka but the children were very inaccurate in the 2005 version. The children in the 1971 version were much better.
@@YouthFreedomFighters Those are very minor details and don't damage their characterisation at all while in the older version several characters were completely ruined by details like the fizzy lifting drinks.
@@BenDBeast Mike Teavee just isn't the same without his cowboy suit and guns.
