Yup! Every single episode from seasons 1-3 is a banger and highly memorable. I still think some of the later seasons have great episodes, but as a whole nothing compares to pre-movie Spongebob.

If I had a nickel for every "Mr. Krabs as a robot" episode I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but weird that it happened twice. Additionally Krab Borg is eerily similar to the Dick Van Dyke Show episode It May Look Like a Walnut in which characters watch a creepy movie and become paranoid it's starting to become real and it's played for laughs. I've never seen it listed as an inspiration for this episode but I don't think it's a coincidence these two are some of the best eps of their shows!

It kind of does a great job of basically outlining why the 'dad goes to work while mom keeps the house' dynamic is super unbalanced. (See how Spongebob is portrayed during the timestamped part.) While also outlining a few gender stereotypes along the way, it's honestly pretty well-written in that regard. (At least in my opinion, lol.)

@@lucascoval828 I’m aware of that. I just felt that they missed an opportunity at a better and still funny story using SpongeBob and Sandy to see them go through the ups and downs of marriage and child raising with comedy. And possibly in the end strengthening SpongeBob and Sandy’s relationship.

As someone who's watch training videos for Christmas jobs I can tell you that the Krusty Krab Training Video episode is an accurate lampoon.
To give Mr. Krabs some credit, he might be a greedy person who tries to make money in every cheap way, but he's also a single dad raising his teen daughter alone, he provides 2 full-time jobs where his employees can live off from the wage and he takes care of his mother.
All that supported by just one run down fast food restaurant. So ofcause he looks after his money and every penny.
