    Thanks for sharing. These have been very helpful. When I follow along step by step on this tutorial, I'm having trouble getting the tool path to generate in multi surface feature. It's generating a zero length tool path which won't simulate. Is there a setting I need to adjust? Thanks.

    Hello Professor Cameron - your videos are extremely helpful. In one of the videos you mentioned the PROTOTRAKS may require some programming difference for doing 3-axis milling? Is there a video where you cover this....?

    Hello Professor, these videos have been great resources. I've a query with 4th axis. I am able to generate 4axis independent machining G-code, the one where features on every face gets machined by flipping A axis to suitable degree.
    But unable to generate 4-axis simultaneous code. Need to do some cam-type profile where XYZA all axes needs work together. What am missing ? Have 2019 version.

    Could you do the same tutorial, only for machining fillets on the external edges? So instead of your part having a bowl in the middle your part would have both top and corner edges filleted. I am unable to figure out how to set an origin outside of the physical part (the point at which a filleted corner would be a straight corner) and for fillets on the outside edge SW doesn't detect them nor am I able to select them manually. Thank you for your consideration.

    Can you use radius compensation G41 and G42?

    0.25" (6.25mm) Ball Nose is small...
    And here I am using a 1mm Tapered Ball Nose complaining that it's too big...

    I am loving your videos, I have been using Solid works for about 9 years now, but I have never used the CAM software. We just got in a new 3 axis mill and I am trying to convert the G code into something it can read. Do you have any tutorials on that?

      Which Mill/ controller do you have?....gcode is mostly universal, but some controllers can be quirky and need the code formatted differently.

      @@professorcameron3990 We have an Acu-Rite G2 controller, it's brand new.

    Could you share dimensions of the revolve cut or upload the part? I want to be sure that my part is identical to yours before I start the tutorial.

    Should this work in Solidworks Standard, Solidworks CAM?

    • @macquillian8735
      @macquillian8735 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nevermind, figured it out. Only works on bowls. I need a half pipe curve.

    It is ALUMINIUM not Aluminum. Do you say Potassium or Potassum?

      Nope. Its aluminum.
      And potassium.
