What’s the best part of this operation in your opinion?
I love this setup, the lounge, outdoor area and space feels so good.

The greatest thing I love about their studio......THEY ONLY USE LOGIC!!!

Hey guys, great space! Just a note on your Yamaha Disclavier. It’s awesome. It’s very simple with a few caveats. Recording and playing back MIDI is easy, really.
The trick is to adjust for two things. The first is latency. There is a longish delay in playback. It’s fixed and can be compensated for easily in Logic. The second issue is understanding the velocity ranges and curves needed to get the most out of the piano.
It’s not really able to be played remotely, live... even editing on Logic with the piano itself can be frustrating. Using a plug in piano to work up parts first, seems to works best.
That being said, what you can do is amazing. Think about tracking where you can selectively felt the strings, do prepared piano stuff, add silent keys to bring out resonances of other parts playing...
One thing is for certain, it’s your REAL piano. Anything you do to the hammer felt, hammer action, damping, it will all translate and add to your unique voice.
    Congrats and enjoy!

So,- all you´d need in the backyard on top of what´s already there would be a large bonfire, a deer roasting on it, some mead and a bunch of unruly Vikinger throwing battle axes around as a drinking game......
Would mix perfectly with the overall laid back artistic vibe of the place,- the garden lounge area of course set up with an outdoors bar and a small dance floor,- what a string of creative summer parties you could throw....
Dayum,- this is a nice place! :)

You know what, I'm really thankful you've been going around and checking out various studios.
For me, I've been wanting to build a studio for a WHILE. ---To the point that I've just been buying gear and learning to mix and record. I've come to a point that I would put what I have not quite at the lowest of where some of these are, and not really near the top.
I guess what I'm getting at is that I've got alot more going for me than I realized. Thanks dude.

There's a more affordable version of helix lite (even hx stomp) from line6 - Pod Go. For those who wanna to try it out. I've built pedalboard around hx stomp and recently bought Pod Go as well.

Really like your setup. I'm just getting my feet wet in the music production and mastering field. I've actually got a first cousin that was a recording engineer for years in New York. His name is Lane Craven. He's worked with many famous artists. I've also got a cousin in Nashville who is quickly moving up the Country music ranks. You might know her or possibly have worked with her. Her record label is Harper Grae. Her name is Shanna Harper. She's actually got music videos playing on CMT. I'd love to see your setup sometime. I live in North Alabama just below Huntsville. You've got a very nice studio.

no exp with a disklavier, but if it has midi... just run the midi to your audio interface (if it has midi), if not, through a midi interface, or something, first. If the piano hasn't usb, check with Yamaha, I believe there's an upgrade for that too.

this is how i imagine my studio control room that i wanna build some day, i want a house to have two parts, one part which is where i live in and another the studio, and each room occupies something the control room in one, piano in another, room full of different amps all ready and plugged do a wall plate thats in the control room and everything all pre wired for ease of access

Recording vocals simultaneously right next to the piano. Eliminates bleed between mics.
