    Imagine putting m1 with scissor mechanism keyboard with magsafe… This will sell a lot

      I think that would be a best seller. Although the MacBook Air has M2 chip. But different design.

    it did not need to be $1,200 brand new especially with all the issues it had. but it'd be cool if they brought these back at around $800 with the Apple silicone chips

    Came across a late 2016 12" MacBook version for $200. Do you think I should bite the bullet? I'll mainly use it for light work on the go and watching TH-cam. Main issue is the keyboard, I've been seeing many reviews saying even a speck of dust can jam the key 🤔

    • @chrisexperience7
      @chrisexperience7  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sounds like you’re only using it for lighter tasks, i think the 2016 should keep you going for a while with security updates as well. I’d go for it!

      Also, the keyboard on this one is still running fine after a little under a year.

    • @chrisexperience7
      @chrisexperience7  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. I’d say you’d be ok using this for the first year or two, depending on how fast you grow. Just because you can buy this one for so cheap!
      After the first year or two though, I’d consider getting something newer and more efficient.
      Hope this helps!!

    • @chrisexperience7
      @chrisexperience7  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should be fine. Most things ordered through Walmart are in decent shape. Although third party sellers might try to sell you something that’s in rough shape.

      @@chrisexperience7 that’s great. I am still using this 2015 Macbook and works good for me. Haven’t really tried the higher wattage adapter yet but this 29W seems to be working fine as well.

    • @chrisexperience7
      @chrisexperience7  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would take peoples opinion with a grain of salt. It’s been a little under a year and it’s working just fine. I don’t do any hardcore processing so this is more than enough. I like how much storage it came with, the design, and how simple it is to use.
      It’s as thin as my ipad!

    • @chrisexperience7
      @chrisexperience7  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi William, after using the 2015 for a few months, I’d say the 2013 is faster and smoother.
      The keyboard and display are better on the 2015.
      I made a video to help you decide between the two. Check it out

    Even though I love the form factor and how compact it is, unfortunately this Macbook had way too many issues to be worth it for me. From the atrocious butterfly keyboard failing royally on a LOT of these, SSD failures, processor issues, no ports, no magsafe, battery not being great - it wasn’t amazing.
    If anyone’s looking to buy one of these PLEASE watch a ton of reviews before committing to one. For a lot of people the cons outweigh the pros. With luck you can find a 2015 Macbook pro (arguably the best value for money mac) for around $300 - much better than this pile of crap.

      2015 ones are terrible but the 2017 revision is much better - you’re still stuck with one port and a (slightly improved) butterfly keyboard but a lot of the reliability issues had been ironed out at that point. I bought a 2017 one a year ago to replace an old iPad and it’s been great.
