@@deardaisyy off course ... according to apple anything thicker then 0.01mm between screen and keyboard can damage the screen....I was also so tempted to buy the keyboard cover. ...but then I didn't .... I just use it carefully....btw congratulations on getting ur mac ...

I got the starlight one yesterday, it is really pretty.
As soon as I opened mine, it turned on with a loud sound and made me jump.
ahah☺️ gosh i’m not the only one who thinks like that, opening sound so annoying 😆

Try not to use a case. It damages the hinge and may break it, although it seems protective, it can hurt the MacBook. Also, if you do, try not to use a camera cover as it can cause cracks across the screen. If the webcam is activated, a light will show up beside it.

Btw also don't use keyboard cover because it can also damage the screen. Macbooks are not ment for that. Space between screen and keyboard is made so it can perfectly close without touching each other. The moment you put silicon cover that space is gone. Altough silicon cover "covers" keyboard, the dust will come underneath it weather you like it or not 😃. My advise is to remove it. Also @yesiwoeairhf made a good point about case. I would like to add that the case may cause you mac to overheat. Although air doesn't have vents it still produces heat when you use it, and when you put case on it it will produce even more heat. So just keep that in mind. If you want to protect your mac from scratches i would recommend you get a dbrand skin. But hey thats just my opinion and advice and you dont' need to take it. I use protective cases on various Macbooks since 2013 and it never happened.
@rockmist7405 They have cooling fans enabled, but from the M1 chip onwards, there are no cooling fans.

even i have the same laptop in silver.. try avoiding case and keyboard protector as it might make the key board jam later and case will add a dent to the sides just like it did to mine..

using any kind of protector is not recommended as it may break your display or crack your hinge . so try to use as it is :)

I unboxed mine a year and two months ago. And if the temptation to get the M3 is too much to bear the M2 is going back to its box.

You can get a laptop skin if you’re worried about scratches. Get apple care if worried about damage.
Is this Good for CS students and 256gb is enough or not as a user you may know so please reply which one I should buy this one or windows I want only coding and editing

Merhaba ben de aynı modelden almayi planliyorum 1-2 gün içerisinde. Arastirirken videona denk geldim. Yasadigim ulkede macbook kullanimi cok az. O yuzden tereddutlerim var. Windows kullanicilarina belge gonderip alirken yazilarin kaydigina dair birkac sey gördüm. Bunu cozmek icin ne kullaniyorsun? Microsoft office programlarini satin almali miyim yoksa mac in kendi yazi programi yeterli olur mu?
Bu arada calisma masani cok begendim yeni mac in de hayirli olsun 😊

Love it! Don’t listen to all the hate about the keyboard cover and hard shell case. Yes Apple in the past years ago had made a statement about the keyboard Protectors and cases but that was years ago. I have always used them and never had any issues and I have the same Mac as you! Also the Apple Store sells the hard case covers for all MacBooks lol. So don’t worry!

Merhaba. Öncelikle aynı macbook'a sahibiz. Yorumlara biraz baktım da koruyucu kullanmayın demişler 😢. Ben de yeni koruyucu almıştım halbuki. onları takıyor musun hala bana da önerir misin arafta kaldım 😅
merhaba :) videonun altına bu kadar karşı yorum geleceğini düşünmemiştim. ama şöyle bir durum var eğer kılıf kullanmak doğru bir durum değilse neden apple da kendi koruyucu kılıflarını satsın. bence benim gördüğüm bir çok kişi koruyucu kullanıyor yıllardır. bende hala kullanıyorum ve gayet memnunum.
I don't recommend at all the keyboard protector cuz it could damage the screen, it's not designed to have something in between the keyboard and the display
i agree. the outline of the keys of the keyboard protector can mark on the screen especially when you put it down for a long time...

I alway have about 400GB free space on my 512GB drive, so pretty sure 256GB is very durable. Not everyone stores game on their laptop. I don't even store music/video anymore since I can store them all in the cloud without issue streaming back on devices.

Macbook case isnt even recommended. Just dont drop your mac. The case wont protect it anyway when you drop it, it only prevents the cooling
