Thanks for your appreciation, Lorette. Yes, the dough needs time to ferment. You could also prepare the dough, say, by 9am, and then make the buns the same day, say, by 4 pm for evening tea. It's up to you. But they're delicious and worth the wait!
Dinesh, to make appe, you need a batter, something that can be spooned into the mould. For these buns, you have a dough that has to be shaped. The consistency of a dough is much thicker than that of a batter. And so, you won't be able to make appe with the bun dough. However, you could try by adding some water to the bun mix and bringing it to the consistency of a batter. After letting this batter ferment, you could try making appe with it.
@@veenakulkarni3014 , no they can't. Several modifications would be required in the recipe and mainly the dough. It would have to be a sticky dough that you can't roll out, etc. Instead, why don't you try out my eggless banana bread ( also called bana cake) recipe that you could bake. Pranu Sree, I'll add this recipe to my list of requested recipes but I can't say for sure when exactly I'll post it. In the meanwhile, for a reasonably good recipe, you could just follow the description of the recipe on the Everest Pau Bhaji Masala box.
@@judithalva8209 , we make these sweet buns in Goa too. They are very popular as a breakfast food in cafes and restaurants too across Goa. Poee is a completely different bread that is baked, not deep fried.

Can I make appe with this batter ?
