    Thank you for your honesty!! I LOVE it also I have 1 cat 2 dogs and 1 child and my husband so I completely understand this helps me skip from using 3 different things to get 1 job done.

    I have been interested in this machine, and you did a good job telling us about it. I would love to get one. And by the way, I do have a dyson, and I love it as much today as I did a year and a half ago when I bought it. I did get a good deal on it! thanks for your insight on the Crosswave.

    Great review!!! Telling the wife in the morning when she wakes up that we need one of these. We both vacuum but my job is mopping. I hate mopping. It just smears junk all around everywhere. Can’t wait to get a crosswave and try it out!!!

    • @KristinKay
      @KristinKay  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      luke pearson that was defiantly my problem when I was mopping smearing dog hair or cat hair or pieces of dirt and food that my vacuum didn’t pick up. Seriously is less time consuming that’s for sure. 😃😃

      Well we bought one. Got it right from bissell. It was like 300$(expensive but what ever). I freaking love it!!!! Saves so much time. Works amazing. It came with three brushes, I’m a guy and don’t read instructions so I’m not sure what the other two do yet. My floors were DIRTY lol.

    • @KristinKay
      @KristinKay  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      luke pearson that’s awesome. Omg yeah the first time I used it looked like I never cleaned my floors. You probably got the hardwood floor, multisurface and rug brushes 😃😃 I’m not much for directions either b

    Great review! Was on the fence between the Crosswave vs Spinwave, and your review convinced me to go with the Crosswave. We live in Chicago, and with the snowy winters + two kids + three Jack Russell terriers, our hardwood floors need a lot of scrubbing. Just ordered my Crosswave, looking forward to getting these floors clean now :) Thanks again!

    • @KristinKay
      @KristinKay  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gregg Tomlinson I haven’t looked into the spin wave but I’m really happy with this! Can’t wait for you to get it and try out. I defiantly recommend to buy the extra attachments ones for rugs if you have any and the one for hardwood floors only. I really need to buy them and they’re only an extra $10-$12 a piece

    Thank you for the great tips on the Bissell Crosswave, used the mop for the first time yesterday and found water came out too fast. Obviously I primed it and continued to press the button. I just used some Ocean Breeze Pine Sol and still no streaks on my ceramic tile floor. Got mine for a steal through Ebay, but actually came from Bissell. Waiting to review my product still.

    We have canister and wand type vacs that are popular this side of the Atlantic and they do vacuum up edges and corners really well. They even slide under low couches. This was biggest pet peeve while using American models when I was living in the States

  • @meg3839
    @meg3839 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Well, you have me excited. I just bought the Pet Pro version (the purple one). I've been waiting for a few years, so I'm sure I'll be stalking the shipment tracking lol. I do cleaning schedules these days (morning, nightly, weekly, monthly, seasonally, yearly, etc.), just because it's actually easier and less tedious then waiting forever (and I get a home that's cleaner more often), and I get those areas I often would miss, even during a spring cleaning. However, mopping is one of those areas that will forever suck (no pun) and never becomes easier lol...or less boring. So I'm onboard with whatever will help, even if I use my microfiber mop for maintenance during the week.
    I do agree about the price. Bissell seems to overprice their newer stuff. That was the case with the carpet cleaner I recently bought, which I do love (even more than my Rug Doctor) and it works very well, but it was pretty expensive for mid-range brand and only cleans carpet.
    Plus, while most of their products can be really good at certain features, like suction, they often fall short in some areas. The build quality also isn't as good, even in their higher end products, and still doesn't come as close to a Dyson or Shark/Ninja. The plastics are usually not as good or as tough, things don't snap together as well as, say, Shark products do with that solid, satisfying click, and they usually get to milk folks on replacement parts and cleaning solutions while they're at it lol. I'm also a vinegar cleaner yay.
    I have a Shark with DuoClean stick vac (2nd to newest model, in gray and orange), which not only works really well but is made very well and is very sturdy. They also tend to include features that help users more, like having multitasking dual brushes that also dust your floor and side suction to get edges and near baseboards. Bissell? Not so much, but I'm still excited and hopefully they'll up their game and quality more to match their heavy price tags.

      @KristinKay  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jealous! Saw there was a new one and that one can be used on carpets

    My new Crosswave (oct 2019) comes with a cleaning tray. You set the machine in it after you use it and then pour clean water into the tray and vacuum it up into the dirty water chamber. Then you just take it apart and empty the dirty water and dry the parts with paper towel. Love mine and your video.

    Do you think the reason it didn’t clean the sticky is because you were mopping too fast? I noticed on other reviews that they were able to. But they were also not mopping as fast. Just wondering.

    • @KristinKay
      @KristinKay  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kimberley Tramper I will leave the mop on top of the sticky areas for seconds at a time. My videos of mopping is played in “fast mode” so it always looks like I’m mopping super fast😃 It also does not pick up a box of cereal spilled on the floor. 😉 I would have much rather used that than picking it up by hand or getting my broom out!!!!! I’m also wondering if possibly they used a different mop brush since there is multiple ones I just have yet to buy those!

    • @KristinKay
      @KristinKay  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There is a water line and a formula line on the tank, so I just fill it up til the formula line. I’m assuming it’s about a cup! I use vinegar for so much. My daughter doesn’t know better than to play on the floor while I’m mopping and I’m not worried about her getting into water and vinegar. 😃

      LOL That is what I was thinking. I love the way it smells and they say its the best for cleaning up puppy mess, and since i have a yorkie that refuses to potty train, I use alot of vinegar. I love adding it to my clothes in the washer to!

    in theory, this vacuum is worth it. It had better be for $330 Canadian. It works very well but the charge doesn’t last for 30 minutes as it states on the TV ads… for the first month or two it might but after six months of use it’s down to 20 minutes run time at the most. The bearings in the machine are all sleeve bearings, and do not bode well for longevity… I would pay 150 bucks for this but it’s more than twice as much.

      thank you. I got the Crosswave Pet Pro yesterday and after using it I had some of my wife’s hair tangled in it, which was frustrating to take out. So this time around I think I’ll use a Swiffer dry pad to pick up all the hair off my floors first and then use the Crosswave. Other than that, the crosswave was easy to clean.

    • @iqiddishnarmak
      @iqiddishnarmak 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kristin Kay I’ve been using the cross wave quite regularly in different ways and have found the method that works best for me. I first sweep my floors using a Swiffer dry cloth, which picks up a ton of hair and dust, I then use a vacuum (Dyson with hard floor attachment) to pick up dry dirt and crumbs and any left over hair, and then I use the cross wave to mop the floors. This sequence results in little to no hairs ending up the cross wave and makes it a breeze to clean and I think this way the filter will probably last longer too. It sounds like a lot more work but I live in a small condo so all that doesn’t take too long for me to do. I’m amazed though with how much gunk the cross wave picks up even after using it everyday.

    • @KristinKay

      I have only used a steam mop once but in my opinion I think the works great. It comes with the bissell floor cleaner. I prefer vinegar because I feel it makes things cleaner on the floors and more safer when my kids play on the floors. I’ve seen 2 year warranty but I would double check with bissell! The water off the floor dries fairly fast but you choose how much water you use and you can suck the water up with the vacuum portion of it to make it dry faster.
