@@DanusIrishHerbGarden Oswego is the name of the county in New York where the citizens made bergamot tea popular in response to the tea import tax. Yes, herb history around the world is fascinating. I love to eat lemon balm fresh from the garden. It is so soothin to my soul. Can't wait to brew some tea w/ it. Thanks for the beautiful inspiration!! 💚☀️🌱
I so enjoyed your story of how proud you were to buy & grow your FIRST plant. That was me last year!! Unfortunately I waited until aged 45 to begin enjoying plants, and herbs & gardening. But the beautiful thing is I’ve been able to introduce the joy of plants to my boys at a much younger age. We have a hot beverage in the garden every morning. It’s the highlight of my day! I grew lemon balm, but didn’t know how to use it, so thanks again!! 🌿
You live in a heavenly place:) So pleased to have found your lovely channel. I grow so many herbs and love lemon balm! I give my elderly pet rabbits an infusion of lemon balm, echinacea and thyme every day to aid their aliments naturally. Mother nature is a wonderful thing. Thank you:) Ali
Years ago, my first boyfriend had awful toothache. I was just getting interested in herbal medicine, so I picked a BIG bunch to make a tea for him. I didn’t take it too seriously, it’s only a few leaves, so I added a few more, and then a few more. He drank the tea, felt better and went to sleep.....for fifteen hours! Lessen learnt about dosage!!
So lovely! It seems you are living your best life! So inspiring! I want a back yard and to be able to do this! I imagine your husband videos? How fortunate you are to have someone help you! Dreams...
Thanks for this video. I've made lemon balm tea several nights before bed but I didn't use that much, plus I only used the leaves and didn't chop them. NOW I KNOW. You have been so helpful. I've been wasting a lot of tea leaves by only brewing for five minutes with warm water. I'll pick more tomorrow and have it your way. I can't thank you enough for this Lemon Balm Tea Making Lesson. You're do very much appreciated. Thank you.
I found a teapot with a built in infuser basket, now I can truly enjoy my loose leaf teas. I never thought to use my coffee press for teas. I also enjoy them in cold water, I don’t drink enough water but using teas in cold/room temperature water is amazing.
may sound so ridiculous but i always thought it was funny how the thing in my life that brings me the most calm, my dog, is called Melissa (she was given that name by my parents when i was a child) then finding out while beginning to dabble in herbalism that one of the most calming herbs out there is also called melissa!
So funny. Those doggies brightened my evening just like the lemon balm did! Made me smile and chuckle seeing their cute faces, and then their tail-wagging, indicating their obvious and complete happiness. Awesome. And so adorable. :)
Hello 👋 terri, oh sounds wonderful and refreshing, I'm sure you felt lovely after that lemon balm tea,,its hard to decide which is my favourite, ans still lot I could try,I do really love a fennel tea after my evening meal, just love fennel. Hi Miranda - I saw your other comments. Thank you for subscribing. That sounds like good advice, I definitely think aligning with truth, being open to Truth, is vitally important at this time. 5 years ago. I went to pick up some logs for firewood, and I notice this plant growing everywhere which I thought it was mint. When I rub it. I notice this lemon smell, so I grab a few plants. And since then I have it everywhere in my garden. They grow so big leaves and I love the tea also. I am also, make cold drinks with it.
I agree with all these others here; if I had to choose between watching your videos or being with most of those I've learned something from in person, your videos win. Although, I can't say I wouldn't care about ever meeting you. I could only imagine being able to sit with you in your garden learning knowledge most other herbalists don't care as much to impart to their students. Love the sound of the geese overhead too!
Found a huge tub of lemon balm that someone had thrown away the other day, I'm starting a medicinal herb garden at the moment so I took it home, after making a few teas from it I can say this is one wonderfully calming herb, chamomile never really worked for me but this stuff is lovely and tastes good too. My new favorite plant. I'd love to discover other relaxing herbs like this!
How fortunate for you! Why would anyone throw something like Lemon Balm away??? Other relaxing plants to consider would be Lavender, California Poppy, Passiflora, Valerian and more!
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden I'm guessing they never tried the tea or they would have kept the tub! thanks for the suggestions I will check those out, have quite a large patch to plant up so Im hoping to plant a variety of herbs.
@@sherikatz417 No, they're quite different! Lemon verbena has smooth pointed leaves, and is cold tender. Lemon balm would survive happily through an ice age.
the mint family has a square stem //// if you feel lemon balm it also has a square stem as it is in the same family you find other plants of this family by feeling the stem //// catnip all has the same square stem as it is also in the same family ///can't remember all the others in the mint family I have found others in other countries //// fun!!!
My favorite herb. Used to grow it in Norway, the UK and now in California. It's my go-to herb for soothing the nerves. Definitely a much underrated herb, in my opinion. Keeping a lid on while it steeps (like you did) is a good idea, as it helps keeping the oils in the leaves from evaporating. If the lid is covered with little droplets, just shake them into the infusion before drinking. :)
Last night I researched lemon balm as a friend and a cousin both broke out in shingles this week and asked for recommendations. Then your video popped up. I'm grateful to have found a kindred spirit. I have used my rampant lemon balm successfully for shingles. But, my favorite is to slip it into a cool glass of water on a hot summer day. Thank you for the blessings from your corner of the world.
It a pity I didn't know this a few years ago I had shingles it was agony I had it in my eye I got adult chicken pox a few months before I got shingles this is a wonderful video
I didn't know this was good for shingles. I am 37 and have already had shingles twice in my life already. Such horrible pain it is and has also left me with some permanent nerve damage. I am extremely pleased that your video popped up on my feed. I couldn't help, but to subscribe to your channel.♥️✌️🌱🌿
Did you see someone else in comments said in relation to shingles that "B12 helps pain subside by repairing the nerve endings sheath." My mum used to get shingles regularly, it's a shame I didn't known about B12 and Lemon Balm. Hope they help you if you try them.
For the one has nerve damage my husband has it around his stomach, which make him impossible to wear anything, he found a temporary solution, at least to dress up and go out sometimes. He wrapped himself with kitchen plastic wraps ,so because it’s tied, avoid the friction,so he can wears a shrirt and go out. Only one pain when he put in on, and an other when he takes off. Off course, he is very brave.
Like the other mints, lemon balm can be eaten raw. I've put them in smoothies as a fresh green, the only mint I've used more is spearmint, because of its availability. The mints are frost-sensitive so they cut back in the late fall but come back the next spring.
I grew lemon balm for the first time last year. I love anything lemon. I was do disappointed as I thought it had died over winter. Imagine my excitement a couple days ago when I noticed the sprouts I was about to "weed out" was the lemon balm coming back!! This year I got some lemongrass. Mmmm! I love chewing on the blades of lemon grass. I cannot wait to harvest both and make tea. I was amazed their lemony flavors do not need sweetening. 💛
I'm a first time visitor and glad I found you. I first planted lemon balm alongside my compost bin several years ago. Now it's everywhere, and I have to remove some. This year, I started breaking up the excess and tossing it into the bin, along with kitchen scraps and brown leaves saved from last fall. My compost is nearly free of insects. Thanks to you, I'm going to be making lots of tea!
I started growing lemon balm 3 years ago in a plastic planter. This year it really looks fuller. I also planted Mint in an old clay pot. I am growing them in partial shade. I started dehydrating and vacumn sealing for later use. Love teas.
Gillian Roberts I dry herbs by cutting the stalks with the leaves on and putting them in paper bags in the dark. This works if the weather is dry. You can also tie several stalks together and hang them in a closet, heads down. You can put several bunches here and there on one clothe hangar. In a few days they should be dried. You can tell if they crush between your fingers. If the leaf just rolls it’s not dry enough. When dry, rub the leaves off of the stems and keep leaves in an airtight container in the dark. Air dried herbs last longer than heat dried herbs and keep more of their oils. To heat dry you can spread just the leaves on cloth or paper towels and put them in the oven at the lowest possible heat, just until they crumble.
Just came across your videos. How lovely to watch them and learn from you. I'm suddenly awake to the weeds in my back garden. Your knowledge and inspiration is rewarding to me. Than-you.
Awe your sweet doggies faces and your kitty joining you for a cuppa! I have so much lemon balm growing in my garden because the birds spread the seeds! This sounds like a great medicinal tea that I have plenty of. Thank you Terry! Bright blessings!
I'm sure you did, but either way I recommend washing all picked herbs, even from own garden. Last year I ate some raw dandelion leaves without rinsing and ended up with upset tummy for 30 hours. One tea I enjoy, is made from larch needles - I eat them raw in spring as they are a great antiseptic as well. Nice video, many thanks.
Lemon Balm grows radically wild in my yard here, in Oregon, in the US. It literally takes over everything, so, when I first moved in, I grabbed some from my grass and moved it into a safe spot in my garden ... just sort of spattered about. In this way I can manage it and use it liberally. I love it. ❤️❤️
This makes me feel a bit better about the lemon balm that is taking over in my backyard. I live in middle Georgia, US. I’m going out to dig up all the clumps to replant. It seems to like the heat we have here. My lettuce and cabbage plants are huge. The little sugar peas are tiny and pathetic. Win some lose some.
Peas like it really cool & wet. Here up north we plant peas when the snow starts melting. They won't sprout until the right time for them. I always have to remind my hubby to be patient, they will sprout.
Thank you for this. I just bought a "starter" from the nursery and potted it the other day. I'd heard about it helping with stress/anxiety as well as digestion and being a bug repellant when applied to skin. I'm pleased to see I can make tea too! I'm excited to see my pant thrive and my family's health improve.
be aware that, like mint, this plant can spread in the garden, so best for raised beds, tubs of planters or in an area that is mowed .I have it near my front door, but I weed what around it so it doesn't get out of hand, but in 5 years I may with i had it in a container LOL - it self sows freely so remove flowers before it before to seed. and dig around plant edges to avoid root spreading. I am in US zone 6-7 - it can be a spreader, but such lovely to just crush a leaf as I come in the house
Oh, I never thought of using lemon balm in Henlay House....I've always used lavender, which the girls love! I have a lot of lemon balm in the garden, so I'm now going to try that for a change!
I can't speak english very well but you sound so clear and shows all details - I can understand all ❣ I'm so happy to find your channel, it's so cosy in your Kitchen😘 I love "Melisse" since I was a Young girl and now I remember that was one of the first herbals I grew indoor as a kid. Thank you for that " remembering" 😂
I always get a little cross with my lemon balm as it spreads everywhere! After watching this I am reminded of the fantastic scent and delicious tea. Here in Ontario, Canada bee balm is another name for Monarda or Wild Bergamot. Also makes lovely tea!
A hot cup on the patio is a cure for many things. Again this year I will try to find a couple LB starts, and hope to follow your example. BTW, your 4legged friends are sweet.
Yesterday I made a tea using both the Lemon Balm and the Sweet Mint from my herb garden. Since it was warm out, I poured it over ice and it was very refreshing.
It's funny how I ran across this video today. I watched it a year ago and was inspired to buy a lemon balm plant after watching, because you made it sound so yummy. I was not disappointed one bit, in fact, I drink lemon balm nearly every day.....I'm enjoying a mug right now, LOL.. It is such a wonderful nervine. Thanks for inspiring me. :)
Here in the US bee balm and lemon balm are different herbs.Bee balm puts out a large red flower the bumbles love. The leaves are slightly minty in smell. Lemon balm puts out a profusion of tiny yellowish flowers & the leaves smell lemony when rubbed.
Isn't it interesting - all the local, colloquial names for plants. I love hearing those different names. They often tell how one society used a plant in a particular way.
When I moved to my current place there was lemon balm in the garden. It took me awhile to identify it, but I use it for many things -- especially fresh, ribboned into salads, or as a treat of lemon balm pesto! I didn't know it was such a terrific antiviral, thanks!
Grew up with mint that grew everywhere. Now live in AZ with the terrible heat but still love to garden. Got some lemon balm today and it reminds me of back home in New England by the beach. Love your peaceful manner and your channel. 🌱🌵☘️
It doesn't spread so bad if you plant it under a tree and even if it's mowed over it will resurface and you can still get a harvest... Love the way I needed this so much n it's my namesake...
So ironic that I stumbled onto this video. I purchased a Lemon Balm plant at my local hardware store in Phoenix, AZ months ago. It is growing so well, great to know it is good for the things that are ailing me the most!
Lovely. My favourite cuppa is when I make rosehip tea, there is something so magical about it, and in both the preparation and the drinking it feels like I am connected to nature and my ancestors who have had the same treat throughout history ❤
I have Bee Balm and lemon balm. They are planted by my bee hives. Honestly, my bees actually like my lemon thyme more though.I myself absolutely LOVE lemon balm!
Lemon balm shouldn’t be used by anyone with a low or sluggish thyroid because it will make things worse. Otherwise, it’s a very informative video with good information for people without other medical conditions!
Thank you for the lovely video on growing lemon balm and making fresh herb lemon balm tea!! I love lemon balm tea to drink in the afternoons and evenings as it is a soothing and a calming cup of joy.
For anyone wanting to plant this, it does spread (easily for me) so like mint, pot it or keep it in check if you need. Seems to do well in sun or some shade (perennial but dies back in winter zone 6b). I need to get better at cutting it back in the fall, I always end up with death sticks stabbing when our family walks through the garden
I had to go to four different stores (including a tea store) before I fi ally found lemon balm tea here in Wisconsin USA. So glad I did and I appreciate your video on the health benefits. Your dog is sweet too. I will be subscribing as I have always lived herbs and natural healing.
Notice the leaves, they float at the start ( oil lighter than water) but after 15 minutes the oils are out and replaced with water hence leaves sink below oil layer that’s on top. Just noticed this watching your video and made perfect sense. Thank you 🙏
A sunny greeting to everyone there 🌞 . It's always so enjoyable, interesting, and informative when you post something. As well as a pleasure hearing the tunes and seeing brok and jazz at your side ! When I lived in Pasadena, I used to buy little pots of plants, mainly for our cats: he had 4 or 5 rescue cats from the (dangerous building: lots of PPD activity, crack addicts galore & the FBI next to us in third floor); I had 2 rescue cats. Then the building manager's cat moved in. Lemon balm was one of my favourites. All our windows faced gorgeous views to the West. There were big earthquakes. The shop that sold plants was named HORTUS.

I grew lemon balm, but didn’t know how to use it, so thanks again!! 🌿
You are never too late and look at the benefits - your boys are learning!
Ha ha! Glad he felt better. Sleep is such a great healer
So lovely! It seems you are living your best life! So inspiring! I want a back yard and to be able to do this! I imagine your husband videos? How fortunate you are to have someone help you! Dreams...
Lemonbalm has strong magic.
Thank you.
You're welcome Linda!
I found a teapot with a built in infuser basket, now I can truly enjoy my loose leaf teas. I never thought to use my coffee press for teas. I also enjoy them in cold water, I don’t drink enough water but using teas in cold/room temperature water is amazing.
Wonderfully helpful video. Thank you. ❤
may sound so ridiculous but i always thought it was funny how the thing in my life that brings me the most calm, my dog, is called Melissa (she was given that name by my parents when i was a child) then finding out while beginning to dabble in herbalism that one of the most calming herbs out there is also called melissa!
Sometimes the knowledge is right there under our noses! Isn't that wonderful!🐕🌿
There's a song" Sweet Melissa" by Greg Allman Band.Beautiful 💙
What a sweet story. Did your parents know the meaning of Melissa when they named her?
"Melissa" is Greek for honeybee 🐝 and "meli" is honey itself. 🍯
Lemon Balm is one of my favorite herbs. She calms the nervous system down! This is a beautiful video!
Thank you very much Maria. Lemon Balm is definitely one of my favourites too.😃
I absolutely love how chill and informative this video is!!! It left nothing for want.
Thanks for including your pups in the video. Loved seeing them
They love to be included in everything.😃
Its long time off im watching ones I haven't seen from before I found you,,its February 2023 now ,so thankyou so much another lovely film, xxbye for now xx
This plant is a savior for PMS
I’m a new fan Teri! since watching your lemon balm vid I have been drinking it! I live in London, (the belly of the beast) full of angst around the madness , which I don’t buy into! I’m on my own path of intuitive wisdom and aligning with truth for the greater good! Lemon balm seems to pop up everywhere for me and I see that as our wonderful mother offering her assistance to me! I’m passionate about human rights but it’s all a balancing act and Lemon balm is my new healing beverage! Lots of love! Miranda 🙏♐️
Hi Miranda - I saw your other comments. Thank you for subscribing. That sounds like good advice, I definitely think aligning with truth, being open to Truth, is vitally important at this time. In ancient Ireland Truth equalled healing. Lemon Balm is definitely popping up for people judging by the number of views I have had.😀 Lots of love to you too🙏
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden aaaah thank you for your reply Terri!! X I have looked at your website, and love the sound of your wise woman workshops! I will sign up soon! Sadly I can’t come to Ireland, I’m in North London! I realise how critical it is to maintain equilibrium, now more than ever! connecting to earth is the best way for me! I’m a Sagittarius , a truth seeker! Much love!🦋🌳🌀🌀🌀🌀 ps I have a new found respect for dandelions!
I
5 years ago.
Actually we shouldn't pour boiling water on tea leaves, but water that is just beginning to boil.
I would love to have a garden full of people learning how to love plants🙏😀 I love hearing the geese too.
Is lemon balm and lemon verbena the same ?
@@sherikatz417
No, they're quite different! Lemon verbena has smooth pointed leaves, and is cold tender. Lemon balm would survive happily through an ice age.
the mint family has a square stem //// if you feel lemon balm it also has a square stem as it is in the same family
you find other plants of this family by feeling the stem //// catnip all has the same square stem as it is also in the same family ///can't remember all the others in the mint family
I have found others in other countries //// fun!!!
Sounds like a great way to brew!
It a pity I didn't know this a few years ago I had shingles it was agony I had it in my eye I got adult chicken pox a few months before I got shingles this is a wonderful video
Yes and foods high in B 12 too. Helps repair nerve endings sheath
Patricia, by any chance, did your friends come down with shingles after being vaccinated for” you know what”? Thank you!
@@toneenorman2135 My cousin came down with shingles a week after her shot. I have heard many reports of that happening!
Thanks Krystal!!
Did you see someone else in comments said in relation to shingles that "B12 helps pain subside by repairing the nerve endings sheath." My mum used to get shingles regularly, it's a shame I didn't known about B12 and Lemon Balm. Hope they help you if you try them.
Cured my elderly mother with Dementia of her shingles with lemon balm. It’s awesome
How do you use it when treating shingles? Thank you for your help.
Scientific studies have shown Melissa improves memory recall
Like the other mints, lemon balm can be eaten raw. I've put them in smoothies as a fresh green, the only mint I've used more is spearmint, because of its availability. The mints are frost-sensitive so they cut back in the late fall but come back the next spring.
Great idea re smoothis - we put mint and lemon balm into salads and juices as well.
I also add the leaves to salads and smoothies!
So lemony! x
Great tip! If I had enough
Give some starts away to friends.
Thank you fort sharing.one of your special days.So.love to share them with you.Lady Of The Trees
My favorite is stinging nettle with a little peppermint ...all from my back yard.
I started growing lemon balm 3 years ago in a plastic planter. This year it really looks fuller. I also planted Mint in an old clay pot. I am growing them in partial shade. I started dehydrating and vacumn sealing for later use. Love teas.
I swear by lemon balm it's the best herb in the world, I discovered it about 8 or 9 years ago and I absolutely love it, always works for my headaches
love an light
Lemon balm grows like a weed in my yard and I dry enough every year for myself, my daughter, and friends
Interesting combination😃☕️ Thanks for watching.
I am going to try and grow some in my garden 😊. How do you dry the leaves 🍃please?
What do you do with it once it’s dried?
@@journalingadventures
I put small amounts of the dried leaves into a blender, it makes a fine texture like a teabag :)
Bright blessings to you too Mrs MMcG. I hope your springtime is bright and warm.
I'm sure you did, but either way I recommend washing all picked herbs, even from own garden. Last year I ate some raw dandelion
leaves without rinsing and ended up with upset tummy for 30 hours.
I hope this year is way better in your garden😊❤🎉
Peas like it really cool & wet. Here up north we plant peas when the snow starts melting. They won't sprout until the right time for them. I always have to remind my hubby to be patient, they will sprout.
Thank you for this. I just bought a "starter" from the nursery and potted it the other day. I'd heard about it helping with stress/anxiety as well as digestion and being a bug repellant when applied to skin. I'm pleased to see I can make tea too! I'm excited to see my pant thrive and my family's health improve.
You are right Tarai - I hope you get many years of pleasure and good taste from your Lemon Balm xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden thank you so much!
be aware that, like mint, this plant can spread in the garden, so best for raised beds, tubs of planters or in an area that is mowed .I have it near my front door, but I weed what around it so it doesn't get out of hand, but in 5 years I may with i had it in a container LOL - it self sows freely so remove flowers before it before to seed. and dig around plant edges to avoid root spreading. I am in US zone 6-7 - it can be a spreader, but such lovely to just crush a leaf as I come in the house
What a spot of joy you give❤ thank you!
I love freshening up my chicken's sleeping quarters with Lemon Balm. The fresh scent is beautiful and it holds its scent as it dries out too.
Yes, it does make lovely chicken straw.
Oh, I never thought of using lemon balm in Henlay House....I've always used lavender, which the girls love! I have a lot of lemon balm in the garden, so I'm now going to try that for a change!
I can't speak english very well but you sound so clear and shows all details - I can understand all ❣
I'm so happy to find your channel, it's so cosy in your Kitchen😘 I love "Melisse" since I was a Young girl and now I remember that was one of the first herbals I grew indoor as a kid. Thank you for that " remembering" 😂
You are very welcome Lieschen, I am delighted it brought you a happy memory. Thank you for your comments xx
I always get a little cross with my lemon balm as it spreads everywhere! After watching this I am reminded of the fantastic scent and delicious tea. Here in Ontario, Canada bee balm is another name for Monarda or Wild Bergamot. Also makes lovely tea!
I love to hear of the different folk names for plants - the names change from place to place, so interesting. thanks for sharing.
Monarda aka Bee Balm is not the same as Lemon Balm..... I have both in my garden and they are separate herbs with totally different flowers. 😉🌿
Thank you your dogs are lovely.
A hot cup on the patio is a cure for many things. Again this year I will try to find a couple LB starts, and hope to follow your example. BTW, your 4legged friends are sweet.
I hope you can find some JB. The two dogs are very sweet - we are lucky to have them.
Love this lady's childlike enthusiasm & (as she also says) exhuberance ! Nice, basic skills video with a great herb !
Yesterday I made a tea using both the Lemon Balm and the Sweet Mint from my herb garden. Since it was warm out, I poured it over ice and it was very refreshing.
Yummy!
You inspired me. I stepped out the backdoor, picked a bunch of lemon balm, and my infusion is now brewing. I added some peppermint. Thank you!
God to hear that. Sometimes we forget what is right in front of us. Enjoy your tea!
Delighted to hear you have such a wonderful plant ally. So delicious whilst being so helpful xx
Monarda
Yes, bee balm here is another name for the plant Wild Bergamot
My lemon balm puts up purple flowers. 🥰
Just bought lemon balm because I liked the smell 😂 had no idea it was edible or how medicinal it is glad I bought it now 😊
Hello from Florida, USA. Nothing like a lemon balm, mint & ginger tea when I'm feeling under the weather!
Sounds lovely!
It seems that Lemon Balm is very in vogue!!! Enjoy your tea.
Lovely. My favourite cuppa is when I make rosehip tea, there is something so magical about it, and in both the preparation and the drinking it feels like I am connected to nature and my ancestors who have had the same treat throughout history ❤
Wonderful!
I have Bee Balm and lemon balm. They are planted by my bee hives. Honestly, my bees actually like my lemon thyme more though.I myself absolutely LOVE lemon balm!
Lemon Balm was the first I grew too! It really was surprising how well it did and encouraged me to try other plants....Enjoy your tea!! :)
Thanks Meggie! xx
I just love watching your
valuable videos.
I put these leaves to my
daily salad.
They are delicious in salads xx
Lemon balm shouldn’t be used by anyone with a low or sluggish thyroid because it will make things worse. Otherwise, it’s a very informative video with good information for people without other medical conditions!
Thank you for the lovely video on growing lemon balm and making fresh herb lemon balm tea!! I love lemon balm tea to drink in the afternoons and evenings as it is a soothing and a calming cup of joy.
It is indeed, like a hug from a good friend xx
For anyone wanting to plant this, it does spread (easily for me) so like mint, pot it or keep it in check if you need. Seems to do well in sun or some shade (perennial but dies back in winter zone 6b). I need to get better at cutting it back in the fall, I always end up with death sticks stabbing when our family walks through the garden
Yes ! I love Lemon Balm ..... I love your videos , don't stop making them ! :)
I hope to keep going Daisy! Thank you so much for watching!
Great video. When I visited England in the early 80s, I learned that it's always 'let's have a NICE cup of tea.' Great channel.
Ha ha! You are right - same here in Ireland - sometimes its a "lovely cup of tea"😀
A nice gentle video about a nice natural product. Thanks.
Ahhhh .... breathe .... you are such a lovely, calming lady and I can’t wait to buy a lemon balm plant, thankyou from Australia!
Thank you for the information on lemon balm. Also, I like seeing your dogs they are adorable.
I had to go to four different stores (including a tea store) before I fi ally found lemon balm tea here in Wisconsin USA. So glad I did and I appreciate your video on the health benefits. Your dog is sweet too. I will be subscribing as I have always lived herbs and natural healing.
Welcome Susan🙏💚
Notice the leaves, they float at the start ( oil lighter than water) but after 15 minutes the oils are out and replaced with water hence leaves sink below oil layer that’s on top. Just noticed this watching your video and made perfect sense. Thank you 🙏
A sunny greeting to everyone there 🌞 . It's always so enjoyable, interesting, and informative when you post something. As well as a pleasure hearing the tunes and seeing brok and jazz at your side ! A perfectly fine cup for a chilly wind. My favorite is a very old, mild mint plant I carried across the USA with a bit of red clover added.
Many blessings for a beautiful season. 💜🌿🌱
A sunny greeting to you too. Mmmm I like Red Clover too and it is great to hear of all the combinations. Blessings to you Marilyn. xx

Melissa? - Means bee. Makes sense!! My lemon balm goes mad in the garden. I won't be destroying it any more!
🇨🇦. I find it easier to put herbs in a mug and use scissors in the cup. It’s fast and the herbs don’t go flying. Thank’s for your knowledge.
I really enjoyed this. I have a strong interest in herbal medicine and I appreciated how you portrayed the plant and also yourself. There just isn't enough time to talk about our favorite plant(s) is there? ha ha. Lemon Balm is everything you described and so much more. FUN FACT: as you mentioned, Melissa is part of the mint family. yes, the leaves look quite similar, but I wonder how many of us don't know that anything in the mint family has a square stem. It's ONE way to identify. That's not to say that if the plant has a square stem it is part of the mint family. There's a difference.
These videos get people interested and we can learn so much. I'm interested in watching more of your lovely videos. Thank you.
