But it doesn't matter because... 1:30 "Directly influencing respondent". Methodology fail. Siobhan told them the answers of puppy murderers. Instead of observing her sample, she's actively influencing them, thus her results are non-valid because these responses don't actually happen naturally. 1:34 "Are you with them or are you with us?" Same as above. Also this legitimate(?) question was not on the questionnaire and won't be recorded. Kind of a waste. It also looks like this questionnaire has No Clear Objective. Because it's unfocused, we are getting tons of responses and sapping a lot of energy to get answers that serve no purpose. 1:58 "A: yes, I am a good friend. B: No and I'm a nazi" Double barelled answers. A YES or NO would have been enough! Why are you complicating things? No the friendly Nazis and the grumpy friends can't have a valid answer!! Well, technically you can win an award at Model UN. At the end of each conference, there’s an award ceremony. The awards are usually “Best Position (research) Paper”, “Honorable Mention(s)” sometimes there’s more than one, rarely they’ll give out an “Most Outstanding Delegate” but that’s rare and it’s just a runner-up for the coveted “Best Delegate”. So no, there is no first place in Model UN (I mean it’s paralleling to the actual UN which is meant to promote unity and equality) but you can win an award. Sincerely, Model UN delegate.
mementomori Sorry for the late reply but, yeah it was! My school had only done it for one year when I started but it was so much fun. It gives you a lot of life lessons that you might not get anywhere else. Like, you can’t just shout at people that don’t agree with you and you have to work together to attain a common goal. And that you should do some research before you start going off on a topic you know nothing about because it might just change your mind. And that your voice matters and you can make a difference by speaking up. I’m sorry for the mushy-feely stuff but even though my school’s club wasn’t always given the best funding and our club government was made up of a bunch of idiots who barely showed up for meetings, I don’t think that I could’ve asked for a better Model UN experience. I wasn’t even interested in politics, I went in to better my public speaking skills. And even now, I definitely not going to major in politics because it’s just not something I could see myself being happy in. But I definitely wouldn’t have done it any other way and I’d recommend the club to any kid in high school.
I took a class on how to create unbiased surveys and it was such a shock to me to see how difficult it was for people to make unbiased questions and answers. Like, it really isn't hard as long as you aren't prioritizing an agenda but I guess people just can't put aside their biases.

Ironically, I got a bad survey within a week of my Statistics I course covering poor poll / survey methodology. I can't remember if the questions were worded to lead the participant to one particular set of answers, but the survey was EXTREMELY guilty of trying to lead the participant before the survey even started. It had a wall of text in front of the survey spouting out certain statistics without context. Clearly they wanted to skew the poll to support their views.
No one should be happy about someone who prints one question per sheet of paper.
