That was very impressive! You can see your dedication with the final product. Only one safety issue I hope you remember with the band saw...drop the guard down very close to your work project. It does several things other than not chopping your fingers off from the top side if an accident hits you from behind....seen that. Next, it was designed to control the blade wiggle for improved accuracy while cutting. Last, with both, safe feelings and closer accurate cuts, you'll see your skill level improve and do less "rasping"...get a small hand planner or a "pull knife" for the longer rasping spots. Good job!
Pro tip: those plastic wall calendars people have in their offices that you can write on with a marker, glue won’t stick to them. It’ll dry up and just pop right off. They make awesome glue mats for this kind of thing!
Sweet build. Wish I could do this. My state would probably charge me with manufacturing firearms though. New jermany sucks. Keep up with the awesome builds. Bravo
@@allentuggle2837 Not everyone has access to "The Woodrights Shop, PBS" that I did growing up. I'm just passing along what I was taught by Roy Underhill, he introduced me to it. Now at 60 I own 7 of them two of which I made myself.
Great build!... here in ''overregulated'' Australia, you can't have a slingshot, unless is something you build by yourself... (!) I guess they mean the old wooden Y-shaped slingshots, but the ''letter of the Law'' can be translated to something like this... great for target practicing and small game hunting...
Amazing work! You could use a palm router to knock down those edges in no time if you want to make your life easier. Ryobi makes a decent palm router for around $100 I believe.
Wow from the land down under where we arnt allowed to throw a pencil without getting fined for launching a deadly missile that is one beauty of a rifle well done, love that nice action that devides when you pull the trigger, never seen anything like it.
You inspired me to get a little crafty and make one of these with scraps I had laying around. Found some 1x4 pine boards, slapped them together, carved them out, stuck a long 1x2 on top, and made a little lever action trigger out of an old hex wrench and some screws. All I had to do was buy a slingshot and I went with one of those Daisy P51's with the grip and arm brace, because the frame had a little bracket that held it together so I used it to mount the frame on the end of the rifle. It's crude looking, but DAMN does it shoot hard. It's got a 3 foot pull. I'm nailing a small tree in my backyard 100+ yards away. I can't wait to experiment with bands. Excellent work dude! Keep innovating!
That’s awesome, glad you figured it out. I might make a beginner slingshot rifle video in the future so if you wanna follow along you can make another one. Great job. Good luck👍
You can use 20 to 30 hacksaw blades, same direction teeth, tied up together as a grinding tool. It's much better than the one you are using here. It saves time.
You need a router for the edges. It will give you a uniform look all the way around. Kind of cartoon looking. But it takes off material fast and uniform. Saves a ton of rasping. Also you should look into kutzall disc's for grinders. I lost my rasp when I discovered them.
Fantastic Hudson.... You definitely win the McGuyver woodworking award. I made a couple out of some baltic birch and an old wooden Hockey Stick shaft. they work so well. The first one was OTT, the second was TTF like yours and so much easier to aim. The scope and Bi-pod are such a Tacticool touch. Well done :)
Very nice! The handle kinda reminds me of my dogs but sack, but hey, looks like it’s comfortable. Do me a favour though, please make sure the sling anchor at the top of the rifle is rock solid. Looks like it is, but just always check it. Rock on 👍
Nice work my man! 👍 real craftsmanship. Stick to what you love. Share, and you’ll be a successful. Either in the real world, or on TH-cam. Sending good vibes from Alberta, Canada. 👋
Wow Hudson this is so amazing how you can build that! 👍 You are very good at woodworking! Who taught you how to do that? I want to see the next video! 💥 You have the right music in this video! You can start your own business because you are so good at what you do! Your hand held slingshot are awesome also!

As most of us do not have have all the heavy tools like you do. I hope you will use simple tools in your upcoming beginner's slingshot build video. 😅😅 Happy new year to you ! 🎉🎉
Hi there, Great job but you could make it a lot easier, just get yourself a farriers rasp. It should be easy to get one in a country full of horses. They are brilliant and fast for shaping wood. Be safe. A
That was alot of work you did making that slingshot rifle and also setting up the camera and getting it recorded and then you edited it. That alone was alot of work that we the viewers don't have any clue what is all included making these videos. So I want to tell you, thank you for making this video for us to see how you made that very nice and sturdy slingshot rifle and I myself am looking forward to seeing it with the bands on it and see how sweet it hits the targets. Great video buddy, this is my first time seeing you on this video and I will share this video, subscribe to your channel, and hit the like button so TH-cam can get your hard work out to millions of people to see how to build one. I need to buy a trigger system like that you used. Where did you find it. I looked before for those and seen Alot of videos out of Asia making them from melting down aluminum soda and beer cans and pouring the liquid aluminum into molds to make the main body of them. But I want one that will last forever because I want to make one for my grandson who's turning 10 years old in 2 weeks. If you would get a belt sander it will save you alot of time and elbow grease that you used making this one. Overall, you made a nice slingshot and video. One thing I'll add to mine I build, on the butt stock end it will not be straight with notches in the end. I'll make it curved to sit on the front of the shoulder and add the notches into it. Then come back about 1 inch going around the whole stock and add a cut then v file line to make it look like a real recoil pad. But I'm more on the details an I can not wait to see what you do with your slingshot when you finish it. Good luck buddy.
Awesome thanks for the comment man, it means a lot. Good luck on your build and your grandson will never forget it. I’m gonna give a a link to a good stainless steel trigger that should last a long time, good luck. a.co/d/a1GjJXK
Rasping builds strength and character. But if you get an order for 3 or more of these you should buy a cheap bench sander and a jointer, maybe a router also, it will save you gobs of time.
It warms my heart to see a young man working with hand tools. Very well done!
@@andyscott6648 haha thank you 🙏
Absolutely! Respect! 👍👍👍👍
Yes I would appreciate seeing a beginner’s rifle slingshot video. Thank you for all your videos.
Now that's something full of craftsmanship. Well done!
Приклад нужно опустить под углом вниз легче будет целится (как у всех ружей). Молодец руки растут из правильного места.

Awesome, thanks for the advice
I would have bought a vintage bb-gun stock off E-bay for the project... you are already on to the next-level. Wow!
Definitely do a beginner, slingshot rifle Build video.
Hard but very nice work
Pro tip: those plastic wall calendars people have in their offices that you can write on with a marker, glue won’t stick to them. It’ll dry up and just pop right off. They make awesome glue mats for this kind of thing!
He needs a kiddie pool under the table for the amount of glue he used.
Beautiful job! Really enjoyed watching from the UK. I teach carpentry and woodworking for a living and you done a great job.
Sweet build. Wish I could do this. My state would probably charge me with manufacturing firearms though. New jermany sucks. Keep up with the awesome builds. Bravo
I just purcashed the trigger mechanism and im going to build this. Thank you so much for inspiring me so much❤❤❤
Молодец парень!!! Главное полезное увлечение! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Bro that's a work of art! Love the slingshot rifle videos! Looking foward to pt 2!
A beginner slingshot rifle build series would be pretty sick 👍
See what happens when you turn off the TV and Step away from the video games?
Good job young man!!
❤❤❤❤
Greetings and respect 🙏 from Greece 🇬🇷.
I just ordered a parts kit with the trigger, bands, ect, you made almost all of it with craftsmanship, all awesome work!
Can you tell me where you order parts for triggers?
Pretty impressive woodworking skills for a young fella - great job. I am however a bit concerned about your rather twitchy trigger finger!
Might I suggest starting with a simple draw knife in the beginning to move material faster with less effort. Then to the rasp and file.
He looks too young to be familiar with Draw Knives..
I guess we should educate ro inspire research and learning.
Then on the other hand, He did a good job. Let him continue on and let him learn, like we did.

True skill and dedication, that’s a brilliant job
That's a thing of beauty, awesome work.
Very talented lad! Keep building !
You have a good eye for fair shaping but use a spoke shave rather than a rasp. Works faster, more control, less mess.

Another cheap addition - could be the use of a Laser Pointer, with a small range of adjustments, to aid the aiming and accuracy to the Target.
Più bella realizzazione visto .
Lavoro pulito, ben fatto e molto curato.
Complimenti
Like to how it shoots. Indeed a bit complicated but the nicest I have seen so far

I would enjoy that build video! Keep up the great work, love the videos!
You need to invest in a draw knife, spoke shave and hand planer. Looks good!
Please use your bandsaw properly. Watch a couple of videos on it, and you’ll get that little problem you got there fixed 😉
yep top bearings should be adjusted to as close as possible to the wood, for a start
