Is this just a 'feeder' line, as I noticed the 'destination' showed IGLS on the front when you took the final 'shot' of it. So I presume it just shuttles up and down this section all day long, or at other times does it venture further into the town like the morning 'rush hour' and does the same in the evening. Lovely scenery, immaculate track, and a leisurely ride - what more could one want in a beautiful tram.
In the past it went all the way into town as well. Nowadays its only a feeder servive. There are plans to get it back to the town centre, due to not many passenger using it. Hopefully the plans will go through and this beautiful line will get more passengers back. :)
@@MrBusfreakinnsbruck I can recall back in the late 1980s when it ran through to the town centre. As you know the main problem is that although it's a lovely trip, it does take considerably longer than the direct bus from Igls which only covers one (short) side of the triangle formed by the railway/tramway.

It's more sight-seeing route. For regular commuting between Innsbruck and Igls there is "J" bus every 10 minutes.
