I use his videos to go to sleep. They literally got me out of insomnia!! I saw the speedrun of this at SGDQ this year and had to come here. It was 2 minutes long and culminated in a bunch of villagers gang-beating the final boss. Fitting if you ask me.
Actually, if you can see beyond some graphical issues. The Story is excellent, the places you visit gives you lots of chill. There is a sense of being able to wahtever you want. And its a great game.

You know what's absolutely fantastic? You can beat this game in a few minutes by attacking Gandohar and tricking the nearby village into slaughtering him for you. What a badass.

You know what would be cool, if this game was a comedy. Like, if it was a parody of Oblivion. It's almost like that's what the game was going for in the beginning. The Taint, the Monty Python quote, a guy called Ho, a super hot girl who hilariously gets reveled as your sister. The punching sounds when slashing swords is pretty funny too. I think this game could've been super funny.
I actually bought this game a few months ago because of this video. I wanted to make fun of the voice acting and ridiculous gameplay, and ended up beating it, without "cheating" in about 7 or 8 hours. I had a bow that did decent damage, but anytime someone melee attacked me, I was dead in about 4 or 5 hits, and the serpents near the water crystal town always one-shotted me. But then I realized that if you stood up on one of the carts scattered throughout the game, nothing can touch you. I fought Reist standing on one and just shot him with arrows for about 20 minutes, then lured Gandahar out to the same one and did the exact same thing. Never took a single hit....

This was my first console rpg. I played it when I was six and seven, and I loved it. I got none of the references or jokes in the game and I still thought it was fun. I recently revisited it and I said to myself, " Oh young me, you were so innocent and dumb, if only you knew what a travesty this is, I could have saved myself Six dollars and spent it on legos."
I remember this game. I bought it used on a whim and returned it that same day. To put this in perspective, this is the only time in my entire life I have returned a video game.

I love how sometimes, the blood spurts don't even come directly from the enemy that's being hit. They just suddenly appears a few feet away, floating in midair. If you go to 8:42, you can see this very clearly. There are two possible explanations for this phenomenon: Either our character's sword is so sharp that it can make the air bleed, or the programmers simply didn't give a shit. I wish it was the first one, because that sounds badass. But the second one is far more likely.

This video is still such a banger. I found this video 10 years ago when it was three weeks old and I have seen it so many times I almost remember the words. Jared is a rare creator who can actually make timeless content. This and PBG helped me through so much as a kid as I felt like they were my role models. this is a classic case of hype. Always follow two very important rules. don't pre-order games dot buy new releases on the first day. everyone could save themselves from tons of agony just waiting a few days to get a good review.
Sadly a lot of those pre-order and day one sales dollars are what gaming companies have that goes straight to them and not the retailer. So they do what they can to make sure they get our pre-orders or day one purchases. But then we run the risk of getting a disappointing or outright bad game. I've been a long time fan of Projared for 5+ years. I knew that there was always a second half of the story so I stayed subscribed and kept all the videos I had watched liked. Throughout this situation there was a light at the end of the tunnel waiting for him, and he has finally touched. He has redeemed himself in such a way words can't explain it. 7:40 This lack of linear enemy progression is one of the many things I loved about Morrowind. It really felt like you were exploring a dangerous world that could annihilate you if you took a wrong turn, and that added a lot of suspense when you went exploring a new location, as well as a good sense of challenge and accomplishment. They ruined that in Oblivion with scaling, etc.

Oh yeah, I did find that weird. I remembered the game did have some framerate issues but they were pretty negligible in the grand scheme, you had to summon an army of skeletons and sic them on a shit-ton of orcs like in Gor Gammar (holy shit I remembered one of the forgettable-ass city names in this game!) to see any momentary freezes or drops. Fucked up calcs does make sense, when I screwed around things went shitty also.
I still remember a NPC standing outside the city for a lifetime, and every time you talked to him, he always said "GO Away" (with a Batman's voice), and his hands were pointing at me like a traffic policeman. I love this guy
My friends and I did the same thing. We got together with a bunch of drinks, food, snacks, and prepared ourselves for the journey of a lifetime. We were set to go all night. We put it in... and lasted about twenty minutes before calling it quits and just played Halo 2 instead.

I love how sometimes, the blood spurts don't even come directly from the enemy that's being hit. They just suddenly appears a few feet away, floating in midair. If you go to 8:42, you can see this very clearly.
There are two possible explanations for this phenomenon: Either our character's sword is so sharp that it can make the air bleed, or the programmers simply didn't give a shit. I wish it was the first one, because that sounds badass. But the second one is far more likely.
Meta Knight better get a sword like that in future Kirby games.

This video is still such a banger. I found this video 10 years ago when it was three weeks old and I have seen it so many times I almost remember the words. Jared is a rare creator who can actually make timeless content. This and PBG helped me through so much as a kid as I felt like they were my role models. Im in college now and my life has changed a lot. These videos will always remind me of a simpler time.

I've been a long time fan of Projared for 5+ years. I knew that there was always a second half of the story so I stayed subscribed and kept all the videos I had watched liked. Throughout this situation there was a light at the end of the tunnel waiting for him, and he has finally touched. He has redeemed himself in such a way words can't explain it. I hope after this you can live easy dude.

Oh yeah, I did find that weird. I remembered the game did have some framerate issues but they were pretty negligible in the grand scheme, you had to summon an army of skeletons and sic them on a shit-ton of orcs like in Gor Gammar (holy shit I remembered one of the forgettable-ass city names in this game!) to see any momentary freezes or drops. Fucked up calcs does make sense, when I screwed around things went shitty also.
