Absolutely love your channel, love how calm you are, wife and l notice that you are the first TH-camr that has a real spade with a solid shank and long handle. Keep up the good work, and we will keep watching 😊
Those early 🌄 shots are incredible Joaquim....so beautiful. Our Minho region is so gorgeous and peaceful. Love to hear u tell stories of your avô to your wife. I lost mine as a youngster and I didnt see him often, but the time I spent with him as a little girl is forever etched in my mind. Grandpa's are so very special. Love the continued work and upgrades, but the poor chicks must be cold at night... o gatinho também 😢. Keep up the great work, and wishing you and your a wonderful Holiday Season.
Love it that everything is so neat and tidy. Thanks for saying what you were working on as sometimes it has been hard for me to follow. I love your place and journey.😊
Wonderful Video, I see all the animals are settled in and Alabaster is accepting them all. Good Job! Lots of firewood to keep you warm was nice to see too!
Wow... Alabaster can move when he wants to.... I thought he was jusst an old dog the way he lies around! Love the way you love the property and your gardens are a crediut to you and so beautifully prepared. So precise abnd knowledgeable about everything you prepare and make... amazing. I am so looking forward to you starting on the house... when is the stonemason starting?
We are enjoying following your progress, Joacquim and Amor! Watching from much chillier Ontario, we are fascinated to see how many vegetables appear to be growing in your raised beds (onions? kale? etc....?). Would you be able to spend and few minutes sometime to explain what you have growing? And do you ever get frost there?
In my country, gardeners facing plaque of portuguese slugs use indian runner ducks for their eradication. They are truly effective. Light weight ducks so they dont destroy plants.
Your homestead is becoming a place with a good feeling of "home". Glad to see! Will work resume soon on rebuilding the stone ruins into a house? Looking forward to your next video. Thank you for sharing. John Vermont, USA
@@Alfablue227 Thanks for answering my question. I suppose a 30 mile drive isn't bad when accumulating needs and then buying everything at one time. Happy Holidays.
@wileycoyotesr8623 No it isn't, and it's a beautiful drive. I know cause my mother's side is from a little town 10 minutes from Joaquim's. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Tell us in a video what are the nest steps to complete the house construction? Is it difficult to get building permits, apparently the bureaucracy is slow, is there any tips to work with the local governments?

The cat found a great lookout.
Always. Found my cat sitting on a new baked loaf of bread I'd put on top of the freezer out of his way 😹
Great to see the chickens have figured out the way to the roost! I wish mine would do the same.
Look forward to Sunday mornings and your vlog! Your getting closer to starting on the buildings, can't wait! Well done both of You!

So busy you're amazing
I love watching you and your family work on the homestead.
Nice to see you and your wife working together ❤
Greetings from Latvia and may your plans succeed!
You need to mulch around your young plants ..... to keep the soil cool and to retain the moisture near the soil surface.
Wow, every man needs a lady like your wife. Beautiful and practical. A winning combination, you won the lottery.
Yes , yes, and yes, but there are gems one has to work hard to find and keep.
Luck is just one part of it
Yay! They are climbing up now.
We should all be so lucky to have your junkyard. Watching from Panama City Florida,USA. 🇺🇸🦅 ! No Snow Just Breeze !
I was just going to ask if you grew collards because they look like collards. Love my collards, of course I’m from the South.
I have a rake just like that and it’s handy for small areas.

Pretty much relaxing time after the pension 🙂
Since you mentioned the Slugs they spoil all my plants and they eat anything green very frustrating.😢
The hooks arrangement for hanging your tools is brilliant. Was i your idea? How is it designed please? Thank you.
🎅🏻🎄👍🍀💐
Such a peaceful community you live in. How far must you drive to buy building and gardening supplies? 👍👍👍
His village has a big builders center, and there are cities and mom and pops all around. The nearest Leroy Merlin (Home Depot type) is 30 miles south

You should have put something like paper or sheeting under the steel before you sprayed the paint.
Alabaster " what chicken fence ?? "
What's the status of your tent? Or, has that plan changed?
Your place is shaping up nicely 😊
Fizestes um storage building e ja esta cheio…de stuff…

Work on the house should resume in January, weather permitting
Bom diaaa!! Curiosidades: Qual a idade de Alabaster? Ele não toma banho (rs rs ...).Qual o nome dessa Vila? Qual temperatura hoje (ordem de grandeza);
Ele tem 11 anos, não toma banho nem gosta de água a não ser para beber. O seu pelo não agarra sujidade. Estamos em Valença do Minho e a temperatura esta noite desceu até zero

are you aware of the age of the original stonework on the site ? greetz from NL
In my village most houses of this kind were built in the 1700s
Won't that chicken coop be freezing in the winter?
The lowest it gets to here is just below freezing, around -2C or 28F, chicken are hardy to -30C or -22F Although bare necked breeds a bit less so.
Olha pa….eu digo te….hire a contractor because at your rate of progress, it will take you a lifetime to re built.
So a minha opiniao….sabes.
