Brilliant video love the bit of construction mixed with farming. In todays world farming needs a second income to support a family but it makes great videos 👍
I am a beef and suckler farmer morning and evening and a carpenter by day, the sheep farming drew me to your channel but the construction jobs with it keeps me coming back, your job and video quality is top notch more of them please 👍
You should have put in a few skylights they are a great job, also screw the higher part of the sheet, the rubber washer will perish and leak at some stage
Another extremely informative video, there’s a part you skipped over but in reality was to me the most interesting part which is the laptop drawing part. Very impressive! That deserves some more air time 😉
I'm about to start another farm shed and will make a video of that job, start to finish. I plan to go into more detail of taking levels & drawing the shed.
Good job by the main man and 2 helpers 🤣🤣 .As a retired power network employee surprised how many bits and pieces i keep finding for little projects 👍
Great job , easy known the main man was on the job 😁. I learned a lesson with that sort of sheeting a few years ago . The anti drip coating needs to be burnt bach a few inches or painted with varnish down at the gutter end to stop water coming back up and rotting the under side of the sheet
That's a neat way for the steel tiedowns. The only way I have seen older systems was a pieces of rebar welded or hooked onto the steel with a 90 degree bend on the bottom end cemented into a hole in the blocks
We put dpc on top of shed timbers before sheeting. It prevents the timber from coming in contact with the condensation which forms on the inside of the sheeting.
Not at all. He wouldn't be a fan of farming and definitely not sheep farming. Always telling me there are easier ways of making money. I always say they wouldn't be as fun 😅
We’ve used the non drip roofing but it soaked up the water from the spouting and ruined the end of the sheets. A starling also made a nest between the covering and the tin.
David There should be 10cm cut back on the none drip on the gutter end. Water soaks back up the sheets. Neat work
A very enjoyable video you make welding and steel work look so easy it is lovely to see siblings help each other
Glad you enjoyed it

@paddy294 Thanks Paddy, hope you didn't miss the sheep too much in this one?
0.7mm sheets look to be extremely strong. Thanks for sharing

It'll be a long time, shed here built in '97, washers still perfect.
Your a crafty bugger. Thanks 😂😂. Love the videos.
Thank you 👍
Good stuff. That upside down drill is a great bit of kit.
It sure is, heavy but super tool👌
Ooh its lovely and idyllic; keep it going!
Great job lads.

Beauty of a job! I did not know those sheets were available with a backing to prevent drips. Good lesson. Thanks :D
Shed looks good 😊👍👍
Thank you Linda 👍
Brilliant . Well done lads.

Very very good video David. Keep them coming lad
Thanks Alan 👍

Easy knowing the main man was the charge hand (big boss) in his former job. Runs a tight ship 😀
Super roofing jobs and some learning for us too
Great job there lads, thats a grand handy garage/shed, and not a bad word or a row between ye all😂 the rain is never far away
Kept the lads going, no time to fight 😅
Great video loved it .👍

Some of that sheeting can be pretty poor quality
Outstanding job!!
Thank you!

'Cash R Card'
Brotherly Love 😅 😅
Couldn't resist 🤣
Lovely shed really looks well
Great video David aye cash or card 😜🤣🤣good one 👌
Screwing in the valley of the sheet, with the type of screw used will lead to leaks.
Great video as always David - the curse of a handy brother!! 😂
What drone did you get and how is it going for you??
Cheers Barry. Drone is a DJI Air2s. Only getting the hang of it now but a super piece of kit. Handy for checking sheep too..😜
Good stuff
👍
Great video , only took you 3 mths to come to get it done .. never mind happy wife , happy sister in law is more important 🙈🤣
Hard to keep them all happy 😜
Top notch brother better not give keys it.come home some day.lambing start full.sheep lambs 😅
Even handy for bit of dosing some wet day 🤣
Tidy work
👍
Nice job but surprised you didnt screw down through the high secfion of the sheet and not the valley where the water runs?
Corrugated sheeting always screwed on the ridge, box profile generally screwed in valleys.
Jaysus lads, ye may tell me where ye got all that health and safety gear while putting up the sheets, so slick I can't even see it😅😅😅😅😅😅
Great job!
Maybe it was the sunlight but the top of the timbers were black. If so, what was this for?
We put dpc on top of shed timbers before sheeting. It prevents the timber from coming in contact with the condensation which forms on the inside of the sheeting.
The Bosch drill you are using for fixing sheeting would you recommend it, Is the drill model 18v 55 or 18v 90 ?
What software do you use to draw sheds David
I use AutoCad on the laptop. Great job 👌
Where did you get the sheets and how much a length? I'm in Kildare
Sheets came from Duggans in Kilkenny. Not sure in the price but great quality 👌
@sheepschool365 thanks
Keep the tractor/machinery videos coming
When you guys plaster the block walls like that do you have issues with cracking?
The outside walls were scuffed, then scratch coat and then plastered, inside walls are just pointed and may get painted, no cracking expected
@@robertbeattie3849 I wonder what they're doing differently over there. All the block walls I have are cracked along the joints. Can't figure it out.
Keep Orlaith.happy anyway 😅
Most important job 😜
