What an absolute joy to be a part of this group, and these amazing projects! We're overwhelming with the success of this EP, and it's all thanks to YOU -- thank you so much for the love and support, and please enjoy this breakdown/behind-the-scenes look at "My Mother Told Me" and "The Dragonborn Comes"
Peter, there's basically no good place to pause during the wavy bit of MMTM. The faces that you get on any freeze frame in that part are hilarious. Love TBG!
The video for “My Mother Told Me” is incredible, and the arrangement is absolutely original. Tomi P’s solo cover remains my favorite. Vinnie Marchi makes “Dragonborn” extremely new. His countertenor is the perfect juxtaposition for The Bass Gang’s deep thunder.
As someone who could reasonably be described as a little old English lady, I suppose I'm not really the target market for this sort of music. The problem is I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! Marwan's crazy visuals are the perfect match for your arrangement and Eric Holloway's voice is truly insane. I'm not a gamer so this was the first version of The Dragonborn Comes I've ever heard and I've been playing it regularly since it was released. Long live the Bass Gang!
I absolutely loved the overwhelmed happy look in your eyes in the first watch of MMTM! You all should be proud especially you and Marwan the problem child. First time I saw it I was between awed and giddy, which as a plus size middle aged broad likely looked a little odd LOL! Not a gamer myself but my kids are all pretty hardcore ( my eldest has tested a few) so I am familiar with a lot of game soundtracks. Love your take on Dragonborn. Vinny was the best voice to have on lead( pretty sure he's elven) The bass level at the end almost made me spit water laughing, so fun!
That was very fun! I love seeing your various expressions and when you're singing along! I wondered if you did your own makeup and if you do it for your opera shows too.
Always enjoy the analyses! Fantastic job from all of you on volume 4 - It's good to take risks, but it's also important to take them at a sensible rate. I think 1 in 4 (like here) is good, that way if for some reason it doesn't click with a lot of people they have three other reasons to keep coming back, and maybe the next wild one _will_ click. (I think the same about other media, too, like audio drama.)
For what it's worth Peter ... I would love to hear more bassy/fantasy stuff ... but I think of all the pieces you all have produced my fave is still Jolly Sailor Bold ... Regardless, the songs you all did in this volume were also excellent, and of the 4 songs I think Dragonborne Comes was the one I enjoyed the most. Good work and thanks to you all! ^^
Hi, just come across your channel. I’m coming from a non-singer. I found it quite interesting listening to analysing their voices. Just a little note. You should check out the English singer Raye she has quite a lot of live performances that I believe you would enjoy.
From October to December, Diana Ankudinova took part in the show Avatar. This show is similar to the show The Masked Singer, but instead of costumes, the artists are covered in sensors and are in a room behind the stage and control digital avatars. Diana performed in the avatar of the Firebird and won, no one recognized Diana for 9 episodes. The culmination of the performance was the Firebird's performance to the song by Yma Sumac - Taki Rari, where Diana demonstrated fantastic vocals and record-breaking high notes. Videos in better quality with English subtitles are provided by KWstas Vagias.
Hey Pete! You make such a bunch of interesting collaborations and reactions, especially when it comes to bassy singers! Why not to show your audience some interesting pieces from far abroad. From Russia for example, the cradle of bass singing culture. There are so many works of musical art having in its core a bass vocal. I think your audience would appreciate that! You might start from Kubanian Kazaken choir, a song "Бандура" I'd love to hear your thoughts about this piece!
I've made videos for artists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Korea, the Phillippines, and much more! I try to keep a worldly rotation here on the channel. I will look into making a video for Russian liturgical work where many of the great basses are, as you pointed out
only problem i had with the my mother told me was the base pulse visualizer... the reason is simple i have vertigo and if i am even close to an episode it can set me over.. if i am doing good the base pulse visualizer tweaks me a bit. I did enjoy it but i can only watch it on the rare times i know i am not close to severe vertigo.
Interesting. Have you listened to any of those shorts/reels with the sound swirling around? I don’t have vertigo, but those make me feel instantly ill. 🤢
If you haven't already done a reaction/analysis to "Pisces" by Jinger, please do it! (I linked the video) But please go into it ice-cold! th-cam.com/video/SQNtGoM3FVU/w-d-xo.html

Did you mean to post this premier 12 days in advance
The "Bad Peter!" Censors are absolutely glorious! 😂😂😂😂😂

I can't watch "My Mother Told Me" without it triggering a migraine. BUT I love it!!❤❤
Adding Vinny is perfection. Thank you ALL.❤❤
It's so great you finally got around and shared these with us! Just perfect songs, fun Petersplanation!
Vinny's light, high tenor voice is a fascinating contrast to all you basses. Love it.
I think we are going to see a very proud Peter again 😁
And he has every right to be proud ❤❤❤
Man i can already imagine the smile on your face
I will pray that it will always stay that way
Oh wow! I loved it. And so fun seeing you so happy. I am definitely a huge fan.
I only recently found the base gang and I'm in love. You guys give me so much dopamine! I can't get enough

You're not the only little old lady who loves this. Volume 4 is absolutely my favorite so far. Never too much bass.
You should be proud. I love it
I ADORE Marwan for throwing those sudden major-chord surprises. Every time a BG song has one, I assume Marwan was the arranger. :)
I don't think I've ever seen Peter [BAD PETER] that much during a single video... XD Loved both halves of the reaction and analysis!
The "Bass Increased to 100" at the end of The Dragonborn Comes is amazing.
I always watch your reactions to songs you are in. ❤ they make me smile. 💜💜💜💜💜

Alwayz love the play and then getting back to raw bass a cappella

Love bell tones
Chillz! Give it time .. hard to beat OG
Bass Gang yes!!
Now that's a reaction! 😅
