There is definitely an issue with iOS My files do copy onto my laptop but when I try to open the anything that has been copied I get error message Unable to open file format not supported
You need to get an actual "data transfer cable" (sold at many places online). While these cables can ALSO be used to charge your iPhone, a charging cable CANNOT be used to transfer files. There are many different manufacturers of data transfer cables. So again, all one has to do is a search for "iPhone 15 Pro transfer cable", and chose the one that best fits your needs.
I just updated to an Iphone 15 and I am trying to connect my phone to my home computer so I can pull pics off it but it is not being "seen" in the sidebar. I never had a problem before, doing this. My phone isn't asking me if I "trusted this computer" either. It's like neither sees the other. Can anyone offer a fix?
When doing this method, the folders show me nothing of what I’m transferring. I have to click on randomly named folders to try and locate my images. There has to be a better way to do this?
Thanks for the video! I do all that, but when I open it, the picture on the laptop is very small and low quality!! If I transfer the pictures from my iPhone to my messenger and then pulling them out into a file on the laptop, then it is normal and high quality!!
It might help to know that while an iPhone Pro "file transfer cable" can ALSO be used to charge the phone, an iPhone "charging cable" CANNOT be used to transfer files. The cable that came with your iPhone may well not be of the former but instead the latter. (Why Apple couldn't have sent a file transfer cable, who knows.) Also, some files are useful only to the iPhone, and inasmuch, can't be copied to a PC. Once such file is AAE photo files. These files contain original photos of those taken with the phone that the user has edited in case he/she wants to revert those photos back to the original. And because this process can only be done on the iPhone the photos were taken on, there is no real value in having those files transferred.
Can I use any USB-c to USB-a cable to transfer files from iPhone to computer? This is one of reason why I thinking about buy between 13 and 15 iPhones.
That is the one major disadvantage of using an iPhone while transferring in my opinion. is that when you open up the Apple iPhone folder, there is multiple folders that you have to open up individually like you did, and there was only two pictures in one of them and then you have to X out of that Folder and then go back into another one and then it will show you another couple photos that you have taken and that is a major disadvantage in my opinion. because on my Samsung phone for example I am able to plug it in and it shows each and every photo I have on there in one file and from there I am just able to copy and paste it into whatever I want. I hope Apple Apple will fix that someday.
try another usb - c cable, because some of them are only for charging, and some of them are for charging and transfering files It worked for me to transfer the files but some of them they are not good qualitiy or error, maybe I can try by buying newer usb-c cable or just use ICLOUD
😓 I Have iPhone 15 When iPhone Video Or Photo Is Not Moved Or Saved To Your WD Hard Disk, The Move Icon Is Gray Or (Read Only) Is Shown, But Hard Disk. Videos are being easily copied, change everything, help to see 😭
May I politely suggest that you wait until your finger has healed until you upload videos. Video is about appealing images. Your badly hurt finger is not good viewing.
AAE Files are files that Apple keeps all of your photo edits, allowing you to revert them back to the original if the need arises. These files can only be opened by the iPhone that took them, but given they aren't much value anywhere else (like a PC), it's not a big deal (to most users) to not be able to copy them.
EVERYONE!!!! this video method does NOT! work.
Bro it wikk work first you have to do a setting go to settings go to photos and turn on download and keep orignals and it works🙂

how to disconnect iphone 15 from pc?..
I don't see the "eject" option on the right click on explorer.
Just unplug the cable, it's not necessary to eject for a phone.
@@WebproeducationOrgTechnology thanks, i'm just worried about the battery life if i don't discharge the phone properly
Dang it use to import the vids and the pics for you
