I've bought 4 of these for gifts. Lightweight, small powerful light. 55 years ago I worked every summer on the railroad, largely at night. Became hopelessly addicted to good flashlights/lanterns. This is the best light I've found.
Im a mechanic that works in remote area where electricity is difficult to get. Having this case in my conex and charging it every once in a long while all while keeping my flashlight charged between shifts is awesome.
I have been using the Baton 4 since it came out. I do a lot of traveling to get to work and this works great as a travel/bag light. It also fills the same role that I use my perun mini 2 at work for. While at work, the case sits at my desk, definitely not something I would full pocket edc. The light sits in my pocket at work or in the charger case. The case I use to replace my battery pack since it can give my phone a single full charge, which is all I needed personally.
I use my Baton S1R II in "Moon mode" (0.5 lumens) all the time at night around the house. That light is amazingly rugged, has an easy-to-understand operating system, and the battery seems to go forever. This new model is a couple generations newer and has a lot more functionality. Looks like a winner that'll soon be part of my fleet while the older S1R II will now be put in my car's glove compartment for standby emergency use. Thanks for the review!
I was thinking the same thing, but I carry a bag everyday. Having a more pocketable flashlight with a mobile charging method actually fits my life better. I live in the woods and am up by 4 am. Throwing this on the cap while watching the dogs is extremely useful too. And then it more than sufficient for spot checks for production at work without hindering my mobility.
That green and gold color combo has been a rare exclusive for Facebook group members. I hate that they did that but so glad they brought back this color combo for this model .

Same here! I’ve avoided olight in the gun world and still am skeptical on putting one on any of my firearms. But I’m convinced they’d be a great edc light! I just ordered my first one being the exact one on the this video!
I love my baton 3 platinum. I forget it’s in my pocket until I need it. Great hat light. I wish the new one had wireless charging for the case, and a magnetic base.
Oooh I might just have to upgrade again. I've had the s1r turbo 2, and currently use the 3. I have the weird magnetic carabiner ring that Olight makes, (I think it's intended use is to turn an Obulb into a lamp that you can hang in a tent or from a tree) and I use it on my baton 3, it helps massively to keep my butterfingers from dropping the thing, and turns it into a fidget toy that I can flip around.

$75 @ Amazon with the case for another 3 hours 👏. I was looking Friday and they were $100 , the 3 was $75 in red , now the 3 is $80 and the 4 is $75 for at least a couple,e more hours . This is how they keep steady sales . And tomorrow it will be back up to 100 after a couple rave about their new olight4 someone will want one asap , lol
That case is really neat and I like it a lot, but if you're carrying this whole thing then why not just use a 21700 light and get better ergonomics, output, heat dissipation, a replaceable battery for longevity and it will still have a more pocketable profile than a box?
100% this. I have always thought the battery pack case of the baton was redundant. It's just something they want you to buy and waste money on. The whole purpose of EDC-ing a baton is the size factor. If you're going to carry something this chunky, you might as well carry a bigger flashlight. You get better output, ergonomics, all of which you said.
I like the idea of using it as a headlight on a cap and having the case in a backpack, but then again you could just get a decent headlight instead. Hmm.
Turbo stops working when the battery has 2 green dots are on! The moonlight lasts longer because if you compare it to older models, it looks dimmer and greener tint! Overall it's a good light, very small, but they should prioritize what's important for EDC and what people want... warmer tint and 1000lm turbo is more than enough for EDC, and like that it would have more usable runtime and less heat in turbo!
The baton 4 was a bit of a let down. The flat button makes it hard to quickly find the button, and the memory does not save bright mode longer than 1 minute. I don't like it when a company doesn't allow me to choose how I use their product. Bright mode is the one I'll use the most which means I always need to click twice to get the brightness where I want. Overall a good flashlight but those points are a deal breaker for me.

OLIGHT Marauder Mini 7,000 Lumens. Its the only Olight I'll consider paying $200.00 for but only once. I tend to buy Thrunite and Wurkkos flashlights.
Excellent review. I have one coming in green and one in blue. This will be great in my hunting pack and/or my hiking pack. I really need to get the perun 2 to use as a system. Easily to have completely charged lights and to maintain charge on my cellphone and my garmin inreach.

Yeah, need a way to swap out the case battery. Even if it required having a spare Olight battery in reserve, it would be awesome to be able to swap case battery out. I guess, if you do not have a generator, you could put case in car and it will stay charged up as you drive around to store or work. Assuming you still will be doing that inspite of power outage. But I for sure see your point.

Neat item but I tell people "go out there and camp or hike". People keep buying more sophisticated equipment at huge prices to stay at home. Buy a 30 dll flashlight with rechargeable batteries and actually go out. Doing more with less is the goal. The preparedness is your brains.
I rode my bicycle from Canada to Mexico last year (1,400 miles of it In grizzly country) and camped every night at elevation on the continental divide and just brought my phone for light. No need for these lights but they are nice to have.
I don’t understand what it means that you can recharge the flashlight five times. What happens after the fifth recharge? Do you have to throw the light away? Replace the battery?
I know it's a bit late but somehow my Baton 4 doesn't perform turbo mode. Is this a common issue/matter of hidden settings or mine is just faulty? Meanwhile my S1R Baton II is still running strong after years of use and proverbial abuse.
The only thing holding me back on this one are the light levels. There is no medium. Medium, to me, is 200-400. This jumps straight from 60 to 600. 60 is too low for my use and 600 won't last long. 7 whole minutes til it steps down. Steps down to what? 300 of course. Jeez, why not just throw in that 300 from the start? That is why I can not talk myself into buying this. Other than that I think it is ingenious.
probably. the proprietary shit is nonsense. olight batteries will charge in a bay charger and other batteries work with some of these models. whats the arm in trying them out. that battery size is cheap enough
I'm an Olight fan but I'd still choose a Thrunite Catapult Pro over the WarriorX 3 and definitely the X4. Much much better candela and throw hands down. Just not as flashy but it absolutely eats any Olight throwers they have available
the warrior x turbo is definitely a beast. 1000 lumens and insane throw. numbers on paper are one thing. actual useable light is more important than specs or analytics @@Reflect744

sucks wanted to like this but i just need a brighter high than the baton 3 provides and the 600 with ramp down is fkn dumb. Also my nitecore tup high is supposed to only be 200 lumens but its brighter than the olights "300" lumens and has better run time and a screen on the fkn thing. Unfortunate. I take photos in attics and electric panels all day every day and the olights output is just sad compared to others. Dont know why they think this ramping thing is a good idea either. 600 going to be to bright but olights "300" isnt bright enough.....

Dont buy the Baton3. The switch is hard to find/press with gloves. Baton4 is way better in that regard.
