Today, ii somebody ask me to rank the best mobile channel for strategic, and specialization of Evil bat eating Ping Pong, I will overwhelming rank this Channel. I find all episodes the best, worth listening for their true facts, and actual on the ground analysis, not imaginary. Seeing the numbers of Likes and Comments, I don't mind saying that people are more attracted toward fabricated lies. This is not only for common, but even for our so called intelligentsia.

Bharat does not overhype its achievements. I was hearing about the thorium reactor program of other countries, but not of Bharat's. I had a feeling we were falling behind. But turns out we have done it first. Modiji, being a true Gujarati, will surely market this new technology well to other countries and establish Bharat as an energy leader. Electrification of cars, autos and 2 wheelers makes much more sense now. In a decade's time, if this thorium tech works well at an industrial scale, the demand for petrol and diesel will surely start to dwindle, and that too, without burning polluting coal.

General Sahab-ji, thank you for putting all the details on FBR technology together. Some 30 years back, when I was doing my Masters, we had a professor in Bombay University who used to deliver lectures on Nuclear Chemistry. I distinctly remember this learned lady telling us about the Thorium and U233 technology that was being worked on in India. She did mention then that it was a waiting game, but the excitement that she projected was very palpable in the lecture hall. Looks like we Indians have diligently carried out the task and are very close to achieving the goal. Proud of our scientists.

The availability of fast breaded technology couldn’t have come at a more opportune time
Actually from Climate change and food security perspective, nuclear energy is much better than solar for multiple reasons
Firstly as per what we call merit order despatch nuclear, run of the river hydro, solar and wind form the base of the load curve meaning they will be schedule first and at all times that they are available. Next only comes pit-head thermal.
But comparing Solar and nuclear, the latter is available 24 hours a day while for solar power, about equal thermal power capacity will also be needed for not daylight hours. So that is double investment required and more over thermal they will be operated at technical minimum during daytime leading to low PLF
Secondly a more recent trend especially in south India, thousands of acres of agricultural land is being diverted for solar power which has a direct impact on food security
So it is imperative to give nuclear power, thorium or uranium, as much if not more priority than Solar Power at the earliest

@20:35 - Why worry about whether China is getting more laurels and praise on Thorium development than us? After all, we're not developing Thorium technology merely to win laurels, medals and praise -- we're doing it to gain energy independence. If our enemy China makes progress on Thorium and even earns praise for it then, I'm fine with it - because then at least they'll prove that Thorium is doable and viable - which validates our own efforts and approach. I don't care who gets title of "#1 Leader in Thorium", just as long as we get energy independence.

i was thinking to capture the power of lighting but one key problem i came across it that which is a high enough resistive material known to mankind that can be used as a dielectric between the two conductive plates which will be able to resist such high amount of electric charge to make a capacitor small and capable enough to hold charge without having losses over time.

🙏🙏Dear Gen. Shankarji, this whole 3 stage is a very complex subject dealing delicately with atomic masses like 232 (Thorium), 235 (Uranium), 238 (Depleted Uranium) and 239 (Plutonium). What we have done in the 2nd stage is starting to create fuel (U-235) for 3rd stage. Once we reach 3rd stage it would be a continuous cycle thus making us not requiring to import any U-235. Again it is a complex process which you have tried to explain to us, and you are not making a nuclear bomb. People need to have understanding of physics and nuclear science to digest this. Thank you for this, and with all due respect please ignore the comments of ignorant people. Lastly, thank you for serving our motherland to protect her from enemies. 🙏 !!!

I was the one who you told to go to china... with respect & gratitude to u for serving in IA & protecting us i would like to differ & give u reality check....
1st our latest 'indigenous' IPHR is just 700MWe that is based on CANDU design which was already uprated to 850MWe that too in early 90s... commercially available reactor are 1000,1200,1400,1600 MWe rated for single unit(Russian, american, french, south korean)... even if we ignore that our initial(even overall lifecycle) cost is much more compared to coal/solar/hydro plants..
whats different b/w ours(also include CANDUs) & rest of world is we use Heavy water based design whereas they use enriched uranium so what it does is actually cut off from supply chain of nuclear plant...
world is moving toward SMRs or Molten Salt reactors.. whole world will put SMRs on their existing coal/gas plants which we would not be part of...
why i said that china is ahead of us because china files more patent & research paper on SMRs, Molten Salt reactor & Thorium fuel cell than US.. they have active nuclear power plant based on Russian, American & French design they have already Reverse engineer it & mastered enough to produce own design based on them.. we have just two old russian design which we are operating.. French & American based plant were turn down by 'educated' population of south.. (chidambaram ordered open fire against raging protestors was part of that saga)..
so what it conclude is we are really behind in term of operationalizing nuclear reactor (although IPHR700 is matured enough to be launched in fleet mode) but GOI need to put more money not just in incremental term but in manifold... you been a educated general & still bragging for the thing that which we should think & improve is not good.. instead you should launch campaign so that MoS Science would be pressed to increase budget..

India is most Energy starved nation in world . We didnt have Fossil fuels , neither in current india nor in Akhand Bharat region. Though we get lot of Sun light but there is still 12 hour night to tackle with.
If we look at Human society , Real Currency/Wealth is Energy. If we have enough energy , we can Produce , build anything.
Once this 3 stage completes , I think we will already be high income nation, but our growth and Tech development will suddenly boost by this unlimited source of energy. World will Envy us.

Though we all know that something of this sort is coming, the timing is unexpected.
Various estimates say that India possesses more or less "half" (even ¾th) the Thorium ore resources. Since most of the advanced "Anglophone" countries have less Thorium resources (PRC has even less), the fact operating as a disincentive for them to pursue the "Thorium route" (fast breeder reactor) - leaving India to pursue her lone path (in the absence of any Western model to pursue, that was always the case with India). As the narrator said, common Indian public wasn't confident of India to produce a "first".
Not only that, now we have a Uranium ore mine at Tummalapalli (in Andhra Pradesh) the largest in the world (now its environmental pollution factors are yet to be even addressed). So it isn't true that we have inadequate Uranium ores. Another such mine in Telangana (Nalgonda district) was prevented from being operational by Environmental activists. Else we would be self-sufficient in Uranium. This self-imposed moratorium also spells good for India, in international fora.
As a next step, India must "organise" an international "Thorium suppliers group" (most Anglophone countries like America, Canada & Australia - have enough Thorium reserves & that makes our task easier).
If Chinese shipyard unveils plans for world's first nuclear container powered by "cutting-edge" molten salt reactor (in this phrase, there is no mention of any "ship"), India should take this "cue" to start work on small compact molten salt Thorium reactor, for use in Aircraft carriers & submarines of our Navy (nuclear propulsion), by the route of "concurrent" engineering. Thorium reactors are far more safer than the now conventional U235 reactors which are hazardous.
