It is Dracula. The 1922 original is essentially an unauthorized german adaptation of the book by Bram Stoker with some changes in location and character names. Its kind of a miracle that the film survived since Stokers family did sue Prana films and ordered them to destroy all copies of the film out of copyright infringement essentially but I believe the lawsuit didn't go anywhere since the studio went bankrupt following the crash of 29.
I hate horror, but for some reason, that first jump scare didn't make me jump. but I was waiting to get scared... because it's horror edit: what exactly is this movie, he said Dracula, but I'm not sure. Context pls?
The original 'Nosferatu' film was made in 1924 by F. W. Murnau. It's based on Bram Stoker's Dracula novel but the characters' names are changed as are some other plot details.
looks good. A lot of the trailer really has the tells of the Dracula novel. Far more the average Dracula movie, which kind of sucks, If you're going to go hard, why do it for a remake of an adaptation, and not just a more faithful movie of the source material?
This looks freaking amazing! That shadowy hand stretching over the town... whoah. I knew Eggars wouldn't disappoint with this.
Nosferatu!
