  • I just don't get the purpose of this knife. A mini version of one of Benchmade's best over built folding knifes. My thought is that the reason it exists is to capitalize on the mini knife trend and that if you actually need a knife like this then the best choice is the full-sized version. I could be wrong and look forward to hearing from the viewers of this video on what purpose this blade servers for them.

This knife was made for me, a construction worker who has been let down by less tough steel and knives. I'm a collector of hard use edc knives and this one is aesthetically my favorite, though my ugly ridgeback wharncleaver comes close. Those two knives and a hogue ritter are currently my rotation.
Mini adamas fits my hand perfectly with jimping hugging ny fingers and accentuating my grip. If you have a more meaty hand I'd say get the full-size but the mini is around the size of the ritter so it's a full-size knife itself. Cruwear is my favorite steel, so tough, and this blade is a wedge of it. Cutting down boxes, flooring, zipties and other tough things that are also covered in dirt quickly removes the edge of my s90v blades. I haven't sharpened the mini adamas after about a month of use and I still don't see wear on the blade. I understand the joys of slicers like my manix 2 and native 5 but the toughness I've just described is why the mini adamas is great. There's stuff like the trm atom for those who prefer a more delicate knife. While currently the ridgeback wharncleaver is my favorite the mini adamas is my spirit animal. It inspires confidence and I'm not concerned about hurting it. It's how I would choose to present myself in knife form. Tactical and tough, right on. It's the only knife that gives me thoughts of switching over for the day.

I also got the black but will soon also get the magnacut and carbon fiber because it is beautiful.

Nice! Good comment from someone that is a collector and a user. Thanks!

@@southeastwhitetails Thought I'd mention that for a somewhat overbuilt knife like the mini adamas it is very well priced by benchmade standards. It sells for $261 in cruwear versus a $400 osborne you can't take to work because s30v/s90v is delicate. There may be no better value from them.

I thought I had a problem with knives. I might show my wife this video just so she knows I’m not the only one that is coo-coo for sharp & shiny objects 😂 I have over 50 folders full size and mini versions of lots just like you 🫡👍
Edit: Philosophy of use for this knife is I didn’t have any in my collection that could handle an extreme amount of abuse. If I ever went camping or to the cottage I might bring this along with a fixed blade incase I wanted something in my jeans that could handle a task that maybe my PM2 couldn’t.

I've thought about setting up a support group for guys like us. Unfortunately it would just turn into a forum for finding the next knife we "need". Thanks for sharing your pou for this blade. There is no wrong answer and sometimes the answer is just because we like it.

@@southeastwhitetails 😂😂😂 the forum part is so true. We would just talk and exchange pictures and blow more of our money. Either way I love it thanks for the response
