That word was awesome! When I was younger there was this guy at my grandmas church who I looked up to and still do. He’s always on fire for the Lord and every time I would see him, I would think, “man I wish I had what he’s got.” Then a few years ago it hit me. I do have what he’s got. I have Jesus.
Hi Rev Drew. Love your videos. What do you think about a versus between the ADAMAS and the COLD STEEL SR1? I think those two knives are the most similar in terms of their philosophy and that they were built like a tank. God bless you and all your family
I don’t beat my folders all the time but during testing I will whoop the hell out of them because I once had to rely on my Spyderco Paramilitary 2 to get me out of the trails after a knee injury so when I test a folder I look for the same toughness that my PM2 has. I want to make sure that should I be stupid and hike with only a folder again or should I lose all but my folder I can rely on my folder to get me through the situation
Yep, I still want to go with the Contego, haha. Great comparison as usual! I know there are many who dump on Benchmade for their pricing, but while I do wish they were cheaper, they are still one of my favorite companies.
@@darthblade2016 Their pricing makes sense when all is considered. People point at Spyderco but they just hiked their prices and from my experience they aren't far off.
REVHIKER!!!! I need your advice. What do you think is a better EDC knife. A benchmade 940-1501 vs bugout. Im not to worried about the steels. I am a Civil Engineer so I work mostly from my office. I do go to construction sites about twice a week. So I do use my knives to cut wiring, yarn, rope, and paper. I would consider it light duty. I love both knives, I do think the bugout is a better slicer, Im not a fan of the scales. I will most likely buy aftermarket scales. So that raises the cost to almost the same price of the 940-1501. I have bought 4 previous 940-2 and always regretted selling them, hence why im on my 5th. What do you think?
Hell, I have multiple bugouts and a couple 940’s. Just depends on what I feel like carrying that day. I always have a bugout/940 for your general every day stuff, and then something a little larger/heftier for anything serious or super dirty. Usually either my Vallation (407), Contego, Turret, or my 560-1 “Super” Freek.

Yes👍 That's what we need to realize. We all have the same Jesus. Do what you can, while you can.
Love that the Rev is willing to share his faith on the channel. Makes me much more willing to watch!! Good bless y'all
Very good test! Definitely I need a Benchmad, impressive knives. The final teaching is appreciated. I follow Your channel from Italy.

Thanks! I Havent used a SR1 before, but if I can get my hands on one, I'll do that comparison.
@@RevHiker yeah that thing is almost 5mm thick. And like .50 thou behind edge
That's actually a good comparison. The lock on the Adamas is strong but the lock on the SR1 I'm pretty sure is stronger.
4:08 "No one tell my wife". Nice comparison. Different tools for different reasons. Better get them both!

Presidio 2 is a beast of a knife too.
Fantastic review. Good Word. Love my Contego.
Contego is a nice EDC, Adamas is much better for hard use.
I love them both, I would like a better steel (and blade profile) in the Adamas.
I love the last thing you said what a message I’ll take that to my grave brother!!
I kind of regret getting rid of my Adamas but it was like carrying around an anchor. Great comparison
Off topic, do you have a link to that orange suspension clip I’ve seen in past videos?
Thumbs up for Spiderco bashing 👍
You gave me anxiety when you did the second round of batoning! lol
The contego was my first benchmade I bought
But only for the Knife ever built for the timing would be a cold steel pocket bushman
I think I know which one I will prefer, but I shall wait until the end to see if I still do like it better.

Save up and get both haha!
Rev I have both! But I only need one. I will sell the one I don’t keep. Just wanted your advice. Thank you sir
Hey how much school to become a civil engineer? Is that related to environmental engineer?? Is there job security/fulfilling?

Have both as well. Just easier that way. Lol
Knifeworks Edition Contego m390 all day
Yeah that's what I'm thinking since ai already have a 560BK-1.
Great knife and good steel
I’ll buy that ADAMAS if you’re looking to sell.
Cough ADAMAS cough
I have the Contego because I just didn't like the Adamas.
Not much of a test imo. A $10 knife could do that much wood splitting honestly.
A folding knife shouldn't be used for that anyways to be honest.
