I've got a 3 core cable but only been able to get a 2 core switch so far. I've been told I can use them together, just not using/taping off the earth wire to insulate it. It's for a standard lamp extension. Do you agree or is it better to try & find a 3 core switch. Nowhere I've tried yet seems to have them.
