Isn't it beautiful?!? We loved it and can't wait to get back. Why would a brewery want to leave that picturesque view?? I would stay there forever. Thanks for watching, we've seen yours as well. We left a bit ago, but we will be back soon and would love to meet up. Have a great day and we'll keep in contact.
Once you get to the higher elevations in the Cajas it looks like another planet. I’ve hiked that trail. Beautiful and long. The flowers you were pointing out are orchids. I was told that structure are the ruins of an old brewery. The Cajas are the water source for Cuenca. The paper trees are the only trees that grow in the higher elevations.,
Thanks Larry, I didn't even realize that the flowers were orchids. I do know they have over hundreds of different types of orchids. Just didn't connect that day, I felt like I was in a Nature Wonderland and was completely in awe. Yes, we were told the same about the brewery, it was an old German one. I wouldn't want to leave that view, it's so beautiful.
I know.. it took forever to load. Eric still says it's a Coot....I told him 2 against 1...we win...it's a DUCK! Thanks so much for watching and we truly are looking forward to seeing you in the future. Take Care and see you soon!!
We got to experience that when we were there last year. Luckily the building we lived in had a generator, so when we were home it didn't effect us really. Praying things get back to normal soon 🙏 ❤🙂👍
Thank you. Our first exploratory trip was in October as well. Good month. I'm so excited for you. You are going to have a great time. Just remember to take the first couple days to yourself to get accustomed to the high elevation. Don't overdo it. Thanks again for watching and safe travels.
Great video, sorry I had to look up the coot thing 😂, sorry Sandy Eric was right here what I found While the American coot resembles a duck, it is not actually a duck species. Coots have chicken-like beaks, legs, and feet. Both drake and hen coots are grey in color but appear black from a distance.
Wow I absolutely love this video!! But I do have a question how do you get there from Cuenca??? Do I take a taxi or do I take a bus and where do I tell them to drop me off??? And most important how do I get back???
We had a driver take us. His name is German Morocho he took us there and then picked us back up when we were done. We just let him know the time to come and get us and he was there. His number 593 98 071 . He is very nice and very knowledgeable about the area .
We were just there Saturday! It's a absolutely gorgeous!!! The old building was a brewery 😉 Hope to see you guys around town ✌️
