I remember growing up that my father loved this show so much when it was on.
Because I was too young I never saw most of seasons 1-6 and overtime I didn’t remember much. I just remember scattered glimpses of fire breathing Dragons, armored Knights, and large battles.
It wasn’t until I turned 14 when season 7 came out that he started showing me more of this amazing world he’d been watching for 6 years.
I never thought much of it at first, but when I saw episode 6 of season 7, I knew, this was a masterpiece of television.
He wasn’t too big on the ending of the show, but I kind of understood that it had to happen that way. Sadly he hasn’t revisited it in years since, but the House of the Dragon gave him hope to Return to Westeros. We both can’t wait for season 2 of House of the Dragon

One of the best TV show who end like total shit
Not that bad of an ending at all. For the standards of Game of Thrones, ok, there were some problems, some things that felt rushed, some people that acted out of character, some teleportation issues, less witty writing and even some unfair endings, we could say. But the quality was still really high and there were many many great things and many well written scenes.

I've never watched Game of Thrones before actually, but wanted to look this up to understand abit more about Mark Mylod, who is going to be the director/executive producer of HBO's Harry Potter reboot. As far as I know, he directed GOT partially (6 episodes?) and even got an award. I am absolutely stunned by the cinematography, I mean this was already evident in Succession. It's really magical... Hoping Mylod could bring this vibe to Harry Potter!

Not to sound dirty but having that scene of Jon from Battle of the Bastards and the absolute best part of Last of the Starks playing under it made me cream my pants
There is one scene I always thought to look super cool which was when Jon left the wall by himsel to talk to the wildlings after they fought. It kinda looks like the first scene you show but I cannot find it anywhere on youtube and I dont have a subscription anymore :/
Damn this series was so amazing and beautiful... why did they have to screw up the ending, why be so lazy with their writing?

I think the new people making House of the Dragon and Dunk and Egg (Knight of the Seven Kingdoms) absolutely need to watch this and see visually why we all loved this story even with the rushed ending.
It doesn't how bad the final season was, GoT is still the greatest tv show ever made.
I would say the final season only drops game of thrones from number 1 to number 2. The best show ever is the wire by far. But game of thrones comes in at number 2 for me. What’s your top ten? I’d go

How I wish seasons 7-8 didn't exist. For me, they retroactively ruined the show for me. Seeing this amazing video made me realize how much I loved GoT, and how much I felt betrayed by the ending.
