[TRIP REPORT] KLM Boeing 777-200ER From Hong Kong HKG To Amsterdam AMS In Economy Comfort Class

- KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is the national carrier of The Netherlands. It is also my home airline which I have flown more than hundred times with. The majority of those flight were just within Europe and I actually rarely fly them longhaul. Thats why I'm fairly confident I can make a trip report about KLM's longhaul product in Economy Comfort Class.
There are however some benefits I enjoy on this flight, thanks to my KLM Flying Blue Platinum status. A free upgrade from Economy to Economy Comfort besides the usual benefits like free business class lounge acces, priority check-in, priority boarding, priority luggage and a free checked bag. So this review is still kinda biased to be completely honest.
Still, I hope I'm able to show you why I think this Economy Class product is top notch, even without all the benefits of a frequent flyer. KLM may not be the best airline out in the world, but they are very competitive on the Europe to Asia market and they know how to pamper the Asian passengers with a lot of decent food on the menu.
In the video I forgot to mention the price at my conclusion, but getting this much food for just 561,60 EUR for a rond trip between Europe and Asia is a banger of deal. It has been a while since I've have seen such a low price to Asia with a European carrier. I would even be willing to pay around 800 EUR for this flight being that good.

5:46, Oh that's my favorite. I always want to eat chicken rice on the plane l because I want to try it if the meal is good and delicious and I wish all airlines (like Korean, Asiana, United, Delta, Jetblue and European airlines) have chicken rice. How is the chicken rice, did it taste good and delicious? Is your flight to Amsterdam 75% full?
Chicken rice was delicious, right amount of flavour, very tender and moist. A perfect inflight meal! The flight was quite empty in the front section of Economy, but full in the back. I think it was more leaning towards 80/85% full on this flight.

I flew KLM for the 1st time in mid July, but on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (PH-BHL) from Kuala Lumpur to Manila on the 5th freedom flight and the flight is good and okay, 3 and a half hours, but my seat 43F when I recline, it almost broke, so I decided not to recline. Sorry, I forgot to notify the flight crew that my seat 43F is almost broken when I recline, so I decided not to recline. My seat 43F on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (PH-BHL) needs to be fix.
I'm sure they have fixed it by now :)
Not really cheap, but less than 600 Euros for a 13 hour flight from Hong Kong to Amsterdam is okay. In comparison, last June, I flew China Eastern from Ho Chi Minh to London via Shanghai and both flights are okay, my 1st flight is operated on the Airbus A330-300 (B-8972) in the newer cabin and the flight is 3 and a half hours and my 2nd flight is operated by the Boeing 777-300ER (my 1st time flying the Boeing 777-300ER on China Eastern) 11 and a half hours, but both flights don't have air vent, even in the newer cabin, making it hot, almost very uncomfortable, but I am okay for a 11 and a half hour flight and 1 way, I pay $390 from Ho Chi Minh to London via Shanghai and it's super cheap and worth the price, not the best airline in China, but it's a good option to fly China Eastern.
China Eastern is an okay choice too when the price is right. They get you safely from A to B for rock bottom prices :D
