I really like the alternative hero sculpts. I hope in future campaigns opr puts in more of them, especially the heros and big monsters
Yeah they really add a lot of flavor! I think they've talked about doing these campaigns every 6 months or so on their monthly stream.

This is a very cool way to get people into armies they normally wouldn't play, opr is really shaping up to be a threat for the future of wargaming. GW is really dropping the ball in their old ways.

I've always felt the one place OPR draws a bit short has been the characters and story telling, two things that if done well hook people into the franchise whatever genre it may be e.g. Warhammer, Harry Potter, etc.. In that regard this looks like the start of something very special, I hope it achieves the success it deserves, well done OPR and well done Haunts' Wargaming!

I would believe at 30.43 the Saurian hero would be just re-pinned as the damage taken was from shooting. Wouldnt have made much of a difference though...
Have to say I'm a little indifferent with that Trap rule... Its basically on 4+ the target unit is removed from the board. Seem WAY too harsh especially since the unit will be charged and can get attacked.
Yeah it's a tough win for the saurians. We talked about that a bit in the postmortem.
GW had suggested with 10th edition that the rules would be more streamlined and not locked behind paywalls. Their rollout has backtracked that promise in many ways. I think if you were to try 40k again, I would recommend Combat Patrol. You also don't need to buy a codex to try out a faction.
I loved the bone armour scheme. If you keep expanding your Dark Eldar I'd recommend you add some Raiders and Incubi. Incubi have always been a great utility unit going back to 3rd edition.
Another great battle rep. The terrain and models looking great. Looking forward to seeing some more missions.

Damn I missed most of the info on the armies, and the first round was looking uneven for the human side, than round 2 started, it's not looking very even for the lizards. lol

That is a cool narrative campaign right there! Hope OPR can do something like this again but in Grimdark Future because this battle report look kind funny and i want GF to has some narrative campaign too.
There is the old Grimdark Future Campaign "Jakob's Path" (Battle Brothers vs Orks). I can't remember if it comes with Narrative Heroes, but I suspect not.
And I sat "old" because it uses the 2.X lore.
There's also "Darkness Within", same idea, but for AoF (Human Empire vs Vampiric Undead). This one is included in the Secrets of Tixal Campaign's Add ons (and for some reason only there).
They’re planning on doing a GF campaign later this year!

This is such a fun idea. Unfortunately the campaign ends the day before payday for me. Lol hopefully ill be able to get the content later.

Are these the regular DaVinci and Saurians on MyMiniFactory, or are there new sculpts coming with the release on the 13th?
It's taking awhile to upload. Patreon is super slow with uploads. And I think they are gonna be available on the 13th. I think Patrons get them automatically, but don't quote me on that.
i believe the only new models are the 4 heroes, if you already own both armies i believe you get a discount of the campaign.
@@Jam-en8rv The Vinci are getting updated with thicker weapons but other than that yeah it's the four heroes that are completely new.
There are multiple tiers for the campaign, Tier 1 just includes the campaign itself and the new models. @@Jam-en8rv
Is the first game specifically 1600 points or can it be any points?
Nah that's just what we ended up with after a points adjustment. Originally it was 1500. I think 1500 is a good amount for this mission.
The Rending rule shown is wrong. Rending cancels Regeneration, like Poison does.
My guess is this was filmed before the recent update.
It was filmed just after the update, but I forgot to change that text.
