I think this batrep showed how useful Undead can be. You definitely get your feelsbad moments, like with your Vampire, but the inability to be pinned can really tip the scales when playing for objectives.
@@hauntswargaming However, remember that it now only triggers if you FAIL the morale check. If you pass the morale check, you don't suffer any crumbling damage at all. This means that cheap, chaffy undead are more fragile than they used to be, but elite undead are tougher than they used to be.
Summary of the BR: "Look how they massacred my boy." *distressed Don Corleone face* lol Amazing quality as usual, thank you for bringing us the finest OPR battle reports. :)
I really enjoyed the game. The small size really makes things manageable and flowing nicely, though I would definitely like to see a full 1500 point game.
Great Report - More like this! Couldn't tell if this happened but remember - if a unit is Shaken - it cannot contest objectives. So if both an Undead Unit and Vinci unit were within 3'' of objective at end of game - it would go to the Undead unit if Vinci Unit was shaken
Love the reports. More Age of Fantasy please. One question, when the Undead Lord and his wolves get shot off the map, shouldn't the other Vinci unit blocked LOS for most of the unit behind? Both those units were the same height so the unit in front should have blocked most of the unit behind from shooting right?
Thanks for another great bat rep! I was curious where did you get those great trees that you use for your terrain? Also RIP for the count, that was an unexpected way to go.
Hey friends! Thank you for the awesome report! I'm new into OPR and loving the few games I've played! Can I ask why at 7:50 the crossbows routed instead of being broken first? I want to make sure we're doing it right
I’m a total newb, but just wanted to check: you mentioned both “winning/losing combat” and the idea of being “pinned” at various points, but if I’m reading the AOF Skirmish (3.2.0) rules correctly, there is no win/lose combat concept and no concept of pinning. I think those are in the full OPR AOF rules, but excluded from Skirmish. Is that right?
@@hauntswargaming Ah got it! I’m sorry, I misread the title. My bad! Just learning, and I like the simplicity of Skirmish, and thought I was watching that and got confused. This actually helped me learn the nuance, so thanks very much!
It's always nice to have spooky stuff on the channel! Hope you enjoyed the bat rep and thanks for watching!
I REALLY like that you put the description of each "skill" on top of the screen when using them, it makes what's happening easy to understand!
That's the goal :p Glad to hear it's working!

I love those Vinci models! Also the paintjob looks great
Thanks 😊

It is nice to have. It used to cause wounds on just 1s and 2s! 3s were added for balancing purposes.
@@hauntswargaming Yeah, it definitely feels more like a tradeoff now, rather than a straight upgrade

Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Good game and I was impressed you were able to pull the tie off after that first turn. I like how the bases for the Vinci models were done.
Thanks! I think Jon was just being nice lol
The bases do give the vinci some good contrast.

We have a few that size on the channel. The game does scale pretty well. Thanks for the comment!
I love this match up! So classic
Love the one page battle report. Glad to see more showing up online

The Calvary still had an activation so they could unpin
Yes! More OPR!
Will do :p

You might be right. we do tend to overlook that rule.

Thanks for another great bat rep! I was curious where did you get those great trees that you use for your terrain?

Thanks! The trees are DIY. I did a video on them if you are interested. I usually put links to the terrain in the description of each video. :)
Ah sorry I missed that, thanks I'll go binge all your terrain videos now :D
Great battle report! That underlying battle map looks great… any idea who produces / sells it?
Glad you enjoyed it! The battle mat is from frontline gaming.
so cool
Can anyone share what game mat and terrain was used in this BR? Looks amazing!🎉

It's a great game for getting into the hobby! The bowmen were at (or below) half and in melee so in that instance they rout

Skirmish works differently. The "pinning" term is now "shaken". I still use pin/unpin because it sounds better.
@@hauntswargaming But I don’t believe “shaken” is part of Skirmish, either. Morale checks occur when a unit is
