- We currently don’t know about a setup to upload an impossible Level in Super Mario Maker 2. But while a truly impossible Super Mario Maker 2 level is currently impossible, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t lots of tricks that allow us to make seemingly impossible levels in Super Mario Maker 2. Levels that use obscure mechanics, weird Super Mario Maker 2 glitches, or strange tricks, so that a stage appears to be unbeatable. In this video we are going to take a look at 5 of those seemingly impossible level tricks.

3:20 that probably happens because the claw is despawned for being too far in the abyss, so when luigi jumps out, the claw no longer exists to tell the game that he jumped out of the claw, so to prevent being grabbed by 2 claws at once, the other claws won't grab him.

I think its because most TH-camrs who focus on SMM usually play troll levels, and 3d world is a hard style to design trolls in that are actually enjoyable. Traditional levels are plenty, but troll levels are what get the most screen time.
I guess it might be because it isn't 3d it is basically a new super mario bros u style with Extra items and remastered

Since you can skip levels without losing a life, I suspect that they'll be booed and not be much of a problem anyway.

The combination lock level should have a poison mushroom pipe to continue pumping them out if one is destroyed.
It's a shame sound effects don't work if they are off screen, because then you could put sound triggers to let the player know something happened.
Easy way to beat the one at 7:50.
1. Hit the on off block.
2. Immediately go on top of the in off block.
3. Wait for the p switch timer runs out.
4. go to the door and win!

I've seen on Reddit a level only possible when played by separate characters; in the new supe theme, different characters (with fire power) will shoot fireballs at different heights based on where their arms are and will have different patterns
Impossible level? Just play a normal level in co-op mode. Completely impossible!

There he learned, that he first has to run a round through the room, then move two steps to the right and two steps down, crush a rock, and lastly needs to stand in the middle of the room and use a flashlight. And just as he does that, the door opens. It's very simple.

At the 4. level you can jump on the ON/OFF block after hitting it and wait until the P-Switch timer is over or not?
@Derby Manches You could just throw the spring on top of the spike and jump onto that to avoid it. A better solution might be to make it to where P-switches keep getting activated once the first one is hit.

I love how that if you turn on captions, you can understand Toad speaking mushroom!
The spring seemingly impossible level is beatable by hitting the block and jumping on the on-off switch, (so adding something like a couple one-way gates to stop both the payer and the spring from being placed on top of the on-off switch which actually makes the seemingly impossible level to work your way) then wait for the P switch effect to end and the shiny, yet deadly coins are boring but life saving blocks again and go through the door.

can't you make a level impossible for muliplayer because you have a tight timer and require going through pipes since the timer doesn't stop while in pipes in multiplayer

There is a way to make a level impossible in the different modes (Local co-op, Singleplayer or Online)
You use a mechanism (I suggest Tobias Bergdorf's Design) and then make one or two of the pipes lead to death
Then you can only complete it in a certain mode
These ideas are toxic for the playing queue and hopefully get patched out soon.
Just the glitches. The rest of them are very cool! Knowledge is power.
Hopefully the dislike voting though will work to keep levels like this out of endless.

in multiplayer, almost all speed runs are changed into impossible levels for many reasons:
1. the timer keeps going while one player is in a pipe or door.
2. the stage will not reset when a player enters a door or pipe if another player is in that area.
3. If a block affected by gravity (like a sideways spring or POW block) is placed just above a pipe, it will fall and block the pipe due to the game having to constantly run when displayed on anyone's screen, even while coming out of a pipe, therefore sending you back.
This channel is getting shout outs left and right, it's great. Mario maker 2 has given it a second wind.
The 5th one can be cheated.
Just hit the on/off block and jump on top of the on/off block and wait until the P-Switch timer expires then go through the door
There are tonnes of comments like this, but he's just showing off the idea. There are lots of ways to prevent cheating it. Make it so the on/off switch can't be jumped on top of, add a POW block being hit so the coins fall, add a mechanism that keeps triggering a P-switch once the first one is hit...

The best part is how some of these actually aren't glitches, just little-known mechanics. For example, in Toad's case you could eliminate the On/Off crushers so that the lock simply resets if you make a mistake, add some signposting to clue the player in, and NOW you have a legitimate puzzle.
I remember a level in SMM1 where you had to smuggle a spring the wrong way through one-way doors room after room to proceed. It was genius.

There’s probably a way we can do something similar to what we could do in Mario Maker 1 with glitches that later get patched. We just need patience in order to create an impossible level.
