Back when I used to build street motors, it was fairly common for us to get high rpm dips in power and torque like that.
The reason for the dip was we were using intake manifolds or exhaust headers that were tuned for peak power in the ~4500 to 5000 rpm range, but we were revving the motor into the 6800+ rpm range.
These manifold had a tuned flow resonance in the 4500 range, that helped to push or pull the air in/from the cylinders. At ~6800 they would enter a higher order resonance that impeded the flow, reducing the power and torque.

I thought that one too the other thought I had was any way the lifters collapse a small amount until the oil pressure goes higher cause loss of lift in the valve trane always wonder about that with hydraulic lifters when running heavy valve springs.

Please!!! "Hot tip", buy some muriatic acid, (Home Depot, etc.) Soak cadmium or zinc plated nuts, bolts, etc, "out side", in glass or a paper coffee cup. Pour acid back into container for reuse. In 30 seconds plating is gone. Rinse with h20, & dry. Now striped and ready to weld. Plus those vapors are DEADLY !!! Yah I know everyone is an expert, but I have been there and done that. Good luck, racer to racer, and thx for your content. Ty

But it is cumulative. Your body can only take so much. Over yrs one small breath might be one that puts you in hospital or morgue.

Are the videos where you learn the most as a viewer. I used to race in junior dragsters and we put a throttle stop on my sister's car. 3/4 throttle actually made it go faster than full throttle. We went to a smaller carb which made it more consistent. Maybe that's what is happening here with the supercharger. The air and fuel is mixing better. Would have been interesting to see if it would have made more power at 80 percent or so compared to 100 percent wide open throttle

loose bolts are always easy to shear off, because the surfaces they're clamping are loose all the force gets put on them and it's game over. same for over-tightened bolts that are stretched and weakened. good night they go.

Try welding a washer to the stud first the weld a smaller nut to the washer. Sometimes that helps.

_" A 408 LS should make 500 on the dyno. If we put in an extra atmosphere on that it should make a 1000. In theory."_
Yes, but you forgot to account for parasitic loss from the crank-driven blower. You can't double the air, double the fuel and double the power with a blower because driving the blower will eat some of the power at the crank. So a (very nice!) result of 1054 hp and 1070 hp is the result of a little more than just doubling the amount of air you put in.
Doubling air, fuel and power at the crank _IS_ achievable with a proper (exhaust gas driven) turbo set-up though.
