Toyota RAV4 2014 hood latch stuck or will not open and latch cable broken

If your hood latch lever doesn't do anything and your hood won't open, then this video might help you.
This might apply to all fourth generation Rav4s (2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and maybe 2018).

This is the trim removal tool kit with the fastener remover but you can probably get by with a flat head screwdriver or two:

**update - The white plastic piece where it cracked is where it should ACTUALLY be mounted to the bracket. Figured that out later and I believe this is correct. Gotta still buy a replacement cable.
