Jermaine Jackson does his brothers proud!! Jermaine was the original lead singer of The Jackson 5ive, but when Michael was added, they both shared lead vocals until his brothers left Motown. When Jermaine re-joined his brothers for the Victory album and tour, he shared lead vocals on the group's hit Torture which hit # 17 on the Pop charts and sang ad-libs on the group's UK hit Wait. After the Victory tour wrapped, Marlon & Michael decided to leave the group to pursue solo careers full time. Jermaine and his brothers Jackie, Tito and Randy recorded their last album 2300 Jackson Street which scored several hits including Nothin' (That Compares 2 U) which hit # 4 on the US R&B Charts, the title track which featured all of his siblings and children except La-Toya who was estranged from the family at the time. Jermaine re-joined his 5 brothers for a reunion for Michael's 30th Anniversary special. Michael named Jermaine as one of his idols and inspirations in his memoirs. Plus Jermaine & Michael recorded a hit duet titled Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin' (Too Good To Be True) which was a # 1 Dance & Adult Comptemporary hit and earned the brothers a Grammy Nomination.

Jermaine is a class act and when he decided to stay with Motown he helped get Switch and DeBarge get signed to the label along with writing and producing songs with Switch.

@@annathurman Nope. Jackie, Tito, Marlon & Michael left Motown in 1975 and moved to Epic Records where they got more money and the opportunity to write and produce their own music. Jermaine decided to stay with Motown where he released many hit albums and singles including Let's Get Serious which was named the # 1 Soul song of 1980 with Michael's Rock With You being named # 2 Soul single of 1980. In 1983 Jermaine re-joined his brothers for their Victory Tour and album while scoring a # 1 Dance hit with Michael titled Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin' In 1985 Marlon and Michael left to pursue solo careers while Jermaine Jackie, Tito and Randy released one last album which went platinum.

I guess we all forgot how good a performer and singer Jermaine Jackson was !!!!! Well, at the age of 60 plus, he just reminded us, out of respect for the Jackson name,they surrounded him with a full orchestra and this brother sounded great !!!!!!!!!!!!!
