Yes the tripod that held the solid Manfrotto was flimsy or loose.

Thanks for the comment. You would say, but it sits perfect on a 055CXPRO carbon💪

I shoot real estate and have been looking for something that will make my work flow much quicker.
I have been using the Ulanzi F38 quick release plates on my tripod and gimbal, and that has been excellent and I would prefer to maintain these.
What would you recommend, the Benro geared head or the Benro ball head?
And finally, what tripod would be good for each one? I've seen so many overpriced tripods, so I'm just looking for something stout that's not terribly expensive.

Hi man! For real estate: Geared Head no doubt. It's so easy to adjust your composition per mm.
(I do a lot of architecture photography as well)
Normally your f38 quick release plates should work on arca swiss style heads. (Vise versa Arca Swiss plates don't work on F38 head, you can find videos about this on YT)
Either way, if you decide to buy a benro head, it comes with a arca swiss baseplate 😉
For the tripod question: that depends on the specifics you want.
Weight, max height, min height, portability, ...
