Many now use lines on ball to 'line up' but the key is a consistent ball position to square the club face at impact to get the ball rolling on the correct line. I discovered that through using an L or plumbers neck putter and a face balanced putter, the ball position had to be different.

Great video! I just learned more about putters than I thought there was to know! I’ve been checking out the Ping center shafted putters for a while and this video is helping me see if it’s a good fit. Thanks!

Saying someone who has more arc didnt answer anything.
The toe hang creates a shut face on the takeaway and that drag conversely opens the face more for the person who tends to miss left. Hence when matched up they will tend to miss right more.
    All that without mentioning this!

You didnt mention shaft directly to heal like in a Odessay #9 (phils putter)or wilson 8802 style, or bullseye which is a centre shaft but toe hang. comment please.

Hey Dave. Any reason in particular for the change? What type of stroke do you have and do you have a consistent miss either right or left?

@@michaelkunmangolf miss is short . I commit to the line on the ball for alignment so lot of it is my green reading. Why I'm thinking of the change is size of head. I had a ping anser for last 30 years until I found out I need a face balance putter

I have that Center shafted Ping as well as an Anser style. Trying to decide which fits my stroke better. Not much info on Center shafted putters

Centre shafted putters tend to get left in the background a fair bit for numerous reasons. They are awesome though for certain golfers especially ones who struggle to get consistent middle contact. I'll make sure I do a video just on those soon!

Is there a pro vs con, in regards to double bend neck vs a single bend neck?

    • @michaelkunmangolf

Not a huge amount to be honest. Some of it will come down to preference when looking down at the putter and also the ability to square the face at impact can sometimes be improved a touch more with the double bend. I'd try both if you're looking at those types of hosels and see what gives you the most confidence and any differences in starting direction.

For me: Never an ugly plumbers neck, never a center shaft.

In summary, face balanced is for straight back and straight forward stroke and toe hang is for arc stroke putting style
