- Very quick & straight to the point info on, AC Unity Online play. You have to unlink, yes ik, unlink your ubisoft account from what console or pc, you play AC Unity on. Then close your Game/application then from there boot your game up & ** DO NOT RE-LINK YOUR UBISOFT ACCOUNT** once you get to the title screen before loading your save, it will ask you to Link Account. Don't. Yes it works so don't panic, from that point load your game & you will see[PAUSE MENU] the **PLAY TOGETHER** option, from there you can invite friends or join a random session.

Sorry for the late post everyone, if your having trouble playing with a friend, remember, your friend will also follow the steps to ubisofts website to UN-LINK their account from their console/pc, then reboot their game & be sure to not link your account once you boot the game up again. You will then be free to play online with randoms & friends whenever you’d like.

Through Ubisoft.com/accounts you can find your linked account on your system through there.
Do you have a solution for when all of my friends have unlinked their accounts but we are still having issues with joining each other? We send a bunch of invites, and it sometimes works, but mostly nothing happens or there is a server issue
@mearcl6913 that would be the Ubisoft servers, they made it complicated to stay connected, I found using a Ethernet cord helps most of the time. But there was instances I got kicked or my friend was kicked, so just be aware it’s a older game & they don’t do any maintenance on anymore, as much as I want them to bc it’s fun to play with a group of ppl.

I found an alternative, you and your friend/s go to the same mission on the map and press play public at the same time. Only solution I ever found to work on the same mission at least.

This unfortunately doesn't work for everyone. Me and my friends have been trying for the last 3 days. All accounts unlinked, multiple restarts, tried different times of the day and it never works. Unlinking our Ubisoft accounts does allow us to play co op with random people but not with each other. I'm starting to think it's region related.. We are in the UK and Europe.

Same! None of the TH-camrs with help on the overall connectivity issues want to address this part of the error. I can’t find a way to fix that but if I can find a video on it I’ll come back to this comment

It’s a issue with Ubisoft, they haven’t exactly done maintenance on these servers so it’s kinda on its own. I address this with a pinned comment in the comments, you have to just try to connect to the best of your ability until you’re able to be in that party. I haven’t had to many issues with connecting to a friends session or a randoms session. But there was been connection issues sometimes so it’s hit or miss.

It sucks they never fixed this, it's like a gotcha trap for if you did what they asked in ANY other game of there's and linked uplay for points or to play online in other games

why its so difficult to find coop player
When I logged into Ubisoft connect and went to account management instead of it saying log in with ps it said log in with Xbox
It might be bc you used your Xbox/Microsoft account info to sign up. You can always check that to see, then try again & sign into Ubisoft then unlink your account from your console or pc, through account management.

So you’ll go to Ubisoft.com/accounts & got to account management & it should show you what your account is linked to (signed in on) & you just go ahead & unlink it then when you go in game (I’m on ps5 as well) it’s going to ask you “ do you want to link your Ubisoft account” after the start screen, you will have to select no when you play & then online will work.
So when I load the game and it says if I wanna link my account at the menu, I say no? Because I wanna go online when in the game but it just loads?
Yeah so you’ll need to unlink it from your Ubisoft account, then select no when it asks you in game to connect your Ubisoft, then you can play with friends or randoms.

As long as your friend has done the same thing for his account, Ubisoft made it difficult to play online with this AC game. But this method helped me & a lot of other ppl play with friends or anyone online.

I think you need type 2 or type 3 nat connection i think not sure
Nat 2 is the general use. Nat 3 is restricted so much you won't be able to connect into most online game. But yes Nat 3 works like as if it's Nat 2 for ac unity.
We both disconnected our Xbox accounts from our ubi and can both go online but every single time we invite each other it does not work. Is it because my friend is in sequence 1 and I am in dead kings?

What’s your question? I pinned a good amount of info in the comments in case anybody is having trouble. It’s not as difficult to unlink your account from your console or pc through Ubisoft’s website under account management.
@@theonlypook2886 they mean as in how will it effect other ubi titles they have progress in which are online, for honor, R6, etc.
When playing a Ubisoft game, yes it asks you to link your account to recieve rewards. But it doesn’t ruin your progress either. It will always be there when you re-link your Ubisoft to your other Ubisoft games.

I unlinked and relinked my account multiple times and it has only worked twice now my account is still unlinked but it says im offline. Any thoughts or ideas?
When it says your offline, you can still connect to the coop mode, it takes a few tries bc Ubisoft’s servers aren’t the best. But it does work, or running around for a few minutes should have a pop up on your screen saying “your now online” hinting you can play online at that point at well.

If your in the beginning, you get the outfit later by progressing to new areas on the map & finding it in a random chest I believe.

Not necessarily “lose it” it will just ask you to link it everytime you play a Ubisoft game. If you don’t have all the rewards already & want to unlock them from Ubisoft you will have to connect your account everytime, or if you have all the rewards I wouldn’t worry too much about connecting the account if you want to play Ac Unity more often.

The servers aren’t the best since Ubisoft doesn’t do much maintenance on them anymore, but they do work & are online. It might take a few tries when loading up with a friend or some randoms on a mission but it does work.

This worked for me the first time but some hours later the servers became bad again
Ubisoft doesn’t do full maintenance check on them since turning the servers back on basically. So there is some disconnection that does happen here & there but for the most part playing coop is pretty fun when it works with you.

Not sure what you did wrong. Unlink your Ubisoft from your game. Go back into Unity & make sure to hit No when it asks to link, then you can play online. It doesn’t happen the first time everytime bc Ubisofts servers for Unity aren’t stable. Online works, it’s just not taken care of anymore since Ubisoft doesn’t care much for it.

It works when you unlink your account on Ubisofts website, go back into your game, do not link your Ubisoft when it gives you the prompt on screen. Then you can play with friends & randoms. Keep it mind the game is pretty old & Ubisoft doesn’t do much maintenance on the servers so if you run into connection issues, just retry & 9/10 it works.

The servers aren’t very well taken care of considering how old the game is, but if you keep trying it will work & you should be able to connect to other players & play missions.

Ubisoft.com/account scroll down to your account that is linked to your system, unlink it then restart your game & when you go back into your game do not link your Uplay when it asks on the title screen, then you’ll be free to play online.
