- Mine for resources, choose from powerful upgrade paths and fend off waves of alien attackers in this innovative roguelike mining action game. There's just enough time to mine a little deeper, find a little more and get back to defend before the next wave attacks your dome.

🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

At the very end, you can see there is an entire extra level of the mine. 😂
Not going to lie, that was funny! 🤣 I feel it was really easy to miss, but a good "reward" for a dead end, as the relic was on the other spot.
HOT TAKE: The Assessor suits your chaotic digging playstyle much more effectively than the Engineer. Nice work!
agree!
The early inventory upgrade is what gives you the cobalt auto repair.
If the tree grows by accident, you can dig it up and get the seed back
I'm a simple man: when I see Odd upload a Dome Keeper vid, I upvote.
I'm a single man: when I see Odd upload Dome Keeper vid, I take my pants off.
@@LucklessLovelocks 🤣🤣🤣
I'll comply
Idk if youve done this yet but maybe for one you could have the modifiers but have a goal of mining out the entire mine, like every last piece, and even maybe a Q&A alongside it. Also ofc Huge size
The only thing that could make donekeeper better is coop mode…
The arguments between you and loveless
Coming soon...
My thought is that they wanted to get the two new domes out and get any kinks out of them before introducing CO-OP mode
It's so interesting to see different play styles. When I play as Accessor, my bundles never fall/break apart. I tend to them as soon as I get some and make sure they make it to the top. Also, I was curious how this AI thing worked in the game, thank you for that. Every time you play this game, I also wanna go and dig, even though I currently have games I'm devoted to (doing my second run of Baldur's Gate 3 rn) & even though I toggle no monsters mode and just dig for achievements and my own pleasure.
@49:50 You still had the cobalt where you left the tree, you might have been able to get the 2nd res from that before starting the final wave.
Yea I had also mentioned that at the end.
labyrinth mine is really hard. Love the videos Odd!
Only missed that section on the left... and that ENTIRE section at the bottom. lol You can see it right at the very end of the video during the fade out. Nevertheless, good run! Those automated defenses are pretty strong.
The thumbnail is insane 🔥💯
Assessor on maze is like herding cats
Auto defenses is really fun actually. You can totally still do this without the Mass Iron which helped you a lot here. Try it, but it will be challenging. Also even though it's automated defenses you can and should use the gadget's battle ability. I recommend the Shield's Invincibility for this.
This was lots of fun indeed!!! Great challenge and it could be pretty interesting watching it with a larger map, would be even more insane and maybe could be tried with just a few mild differences on mods. Anyway, always enjoying the Keeper and their Dome, every new episode is bound to be a crazy adventure. So thank you very much, Odd!!! ☺
Considering what a pain it was to get resources back through the maze, I would have thought using the teleporter for resources a no-brainer.
Lastly sadly IMO the auto repair has been included in the hud upgrade, and it triggers BEFORE dome resurrection, so if you buy the hud and you have resurrection you can't save cobalt to buy the second res. It will keep spending your cobalt as you get damaged. I hope they change that soon. I hate this because you can't buy the hud without the auto repair
What the heck was that thumbnail? AI ART? That was crazy lol.
Challenge : Balls only . no compression . Assessor run
I actually like this.
@@ChristopherOdd thanks
Also, keep in mind that to pick up or interact with any object you just press the pick up button like you do with the Engineer. You only hold the button to roundup resources.
51:30 aaaaah camera started moving lower and there was more stuff, dammit
By the way, the dome type does matter, because different domes have different amounts of health
I actually didn't know that. Have a break down?
@@ChristopherOdd The Tesla and laser domes have 800 health, upgradable to 1400 health, while the artillery and sword domes have 1000 health, upgradable to 1800 health. This is reflected in the dome's stats and the health bars. It also costs more iron to upgrade the health of the beefier domes.
Also the auto repair is from the inventory upgrade, which is why is is not well known, because most people don't take the inventory upgrade.
Oh no! You could have had water coming from your tree if you had left it in a chuck with the cobalt! Admittedly you needed it at the time, but long term might have been more worth it
I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing@@oliverwatson6634
Odd taking a hands off approach to combat? XD I'll bet that IS a challenge. Well played!
“What a cluster f$@& in the doom!” -what I think to myself daily.
Dome keeper always makes my day
Hi, i am fine, thx for asking. I hope you are fine, too. Actually, you can get the second resurrection from the cobalt underneath the tree as you said and have a complete victory.
Challenge. Complete a run with no upgrades remaining any map size any modifier
The accessor is so clunky when taking resources back to the done.
Upgrading the transporter would have taken the clumsiness out of the resource retrieval.
Cool stuff ❤
You're flying around a cramped area with your resources getting snagged on unmined earth while carrying 3 orbs. Let em fly
OMG have they "buffed" the maze!
The Lift goes though SOLID rock now? That grate cus at some point is did become kinda a waste since it would STOP going down.
Dome Keeper, yesss
Not sure if this would be boring but how about doing full automation but with your weapon on top of everything else too? Or at the very least just having all weapons even if not fully upgraded? Spire, auto cannon, stun laser and one of 4 weapons of each dome? I can only imagine that being a giant showdown of power and I would be all there for it :D
Can't combine auto cannon and stun laser with a normal weapon. The three auto weapons can only be combined with the modifier he chose.
@@LucklessLovelocks you can still get them each as their own gadgets though or is that not how it works? I swear I saw him have at least stun laser and auto cannon in an episode before but I might be completely misremembering that
@@LugiDergXyou can get spire + EITHER auto cannon or stun laser but not both through gadgets (at the same time).
@@LucklessLovelocks I didn't know that, thank you! It would be nice if they allowed that though to be honest - I suppose it's for balance in which case it's understandable but hopefully they could allow maybe map/game modifier at least to allow for both instead to choose for full out dumb silly mode. For me I think it's one thing to have balance (so not allowing this in normal play) but also for game to allow you to reach dumb high power levels if you want to, since some people enjoy the game like that (hence a modifier alongside regular automation one to allow for everything to be taken with regular weapon idea). I think this would satisfy people who like to play in a balanced way and ones that would prefer to play potentially less balanced but with full freedom choice of automated gadgets. It's just an idea though - I can understand differing opinions and views.
Surprised the tree only gave one cobalt. Does it only grow a single unit of stuff?
It's based on how many resources the roots grow in to. Up to 3 total. If it roots into blocks with no resources it will grow 1 iron.
I think, of all of the things that people complain about in this series, the one I never see that drives me the most crazy is you calling the FRUIT from the Orchard dome upgrade a SEED.
You call it the seed buff unfailingly. 😅 oh well. Love you anyway, buddy.
maybe try again on bigger map? or I suppose the maze would be too much of a pain there
Invest more in the spire
I have been suggesting a similar channel a long time and now after a long long time u finally try huh 🦀
Wasn't that a seed for an iron tree that gives out free iron?
The seed gets planted and grows whatever is under it.
If there is no resource under it I believe it defaults to producing iron. Otherwise it produces whatever you plant it on.
@@fishiefish6179I believe it occupies the chunk it grows on, so if the chunk has water and cobalt on it it will produce all 3 resources.
Am I the only one that finds it insanely strange how this man refuses to see the benefits of diagonal shooting to make wider tunnels in strategic paths and especially close to the dome?
Even when he accidentally shoots a diagonal shot and it clearly opens a nice area, he still comments on it as a bad shot. So strange. But each to his own I suppose.
Yes you are the only one. Diagonal shots are generally really bad. They hit a lot of blocks but hitting random blocks just lowers the lifetime of the sphere and doesn't accomplish much but weakening those blocks. You want to break blocks with your shots and you want to break specific ones. I could see you using it a few times a run but it's not something you want to do regularly at all. I'd get explosive spheres if you want to widen an area. Way more effective.
I'd be happy for you to share a video of this strategy working and I'll happily eat my words
@@ChristopherOdd mate, I said each to his own. No need for word eating.
But all it takes is a single game where you keep an eye out for efficiency of your balls. Never have them all idle and keep a listen for the pings of them. Sometimes a ball of yours is pinging 3 times, because it's literally spending 90% of its life travelling back and forth a long tunnel. With a well placed diagonal shot, ever so often you can really hear those balls putting in some work. And you'll very soon find yourself having a nice wide main tunnel... if you want that sort of thing. Not everybody does and that's fine. But it can get a bit cringy, repeatedly watching a player struggle to get his resources back through a series of 90 degree angled corridors of width one.
That's not to say it's not entertaining. Because it is. And everybody is free to play any way they want.
@@limbridk didn’t mean for that to be taken that way. We’re on the same page!
Nope, you're not alone, I've suggested the same thing before to Luckless :)
I am like @Henry-wx5wv; when I see Odd upload a Dome Keeper vid, I upvote.
