    Man, you really need to win the lottery to be able to buy one of these bandsaw blade butt welders, they are so ridiculously EXPENSIVE !

    • @MaltandMake
      @MaltandMake  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Either that or be lucky! I picked mine up a few years ago for about £300. Right place and time I guess.

      @@MaltandMake Oh, You're so jammy ! - Now they want almost 3 times that !, even on eBay they are super expensive second hand when they should be much cheaper... Believe it or not it seems cheaper to just buy an old Startrite bandsaw with a blade welder included than to buy a blade welder on its own ! - Great Vid BTW 👍👍👍

    I have soo many bandsaw blades (I think it's over 90 last time I counted) so I don't need this tool. But it doesn't stop me from wanting it!

    0:50 I watched this video in my shop class and thought I saw the word subscribe written on the machine, but when I looked again it said Startrite. I thought I was tired and going crazy, so I had to come back later just to check.
    I KNEW IT
    It was only written for a few seconds but it was indeed there 😂

    Well, I appreciate the hell out of you too! I don't think my little weenie bandsaw is strong enough to break a blade... I call it a weenie bandsaw only in reference to its diminutive size. If you are actually cutting weenies you will need a SawStop... well a deactivated SawStop or you'll just nick your weenie. I'll show myself out.

    • @MaltandMake
      @MaltandMake  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I remember my history correctly SawStop original founded as The All American Weenie Machine Company. Turns out they didn't do so well cutting weenies so shifted to making woodworking tools.
      I think that's right anyway... or it might have been a dream. Who knows!

    • @TandaMadison
      @TandaMadison 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MaltandMake I think you are correct. They shifted to wood after they couldn’t get their saws to cut through a single weenie.

    • @MaltandMake

      I suppose anything that'll fit in the clamps... maybe I'll have to give some wire a try!
