- Total Rugby visits the Gilbert headquarters in
England. We see the ball has developed over time ever since William Webb Ellis first decided, with a fine disregard for the rules of football, to pick the ball up and run! We also see how modern-day balls are fine-tuned with practical testing by former England fly-half Paul Grayson.
Awesome video. It's great to see how the Gilberts, the very best rugby balls in the world, are made.
steeden r better
@@lochlainngaming7182 So are a pair of rubber gloves which is what you need before you do permanent damage to yourself mate.
I just bought my first rugby ball a few months ago. It's a Gilbert needless to say and it bounces pretty good.
Lol I’m glad it bounces well!! 😂

what a great video i learned so much thanks bro
I live in rugby, i feel special :D
nice job
I know, love it.
well yes if you are just playing "backyard" rugby. However a football will not bounce the same and will be harder to kick. You can buy a rugby ball at a local soccer and rugby imports or online at world rugby shop (I prefer online)
Didn't show how they finish the ball off, I could still see stitches and the finished ball has no stitched showing.
cause its finshed in India! and then sent to UK
I wonder if Gilbert will try to redesign the rugby ball like that 3D printed basketball...
@ted5529608 you could. but like the guy said below, it won't be the same. Rugby balls are bigger than footballs and rounder at the ends, makes the bounce of the ball more unpredictable
Gilbert makes the best rugby balls, albeit expensive ones...
no ! they do every balls by hand ... you can see that the woman is "building" a Zenon ball which is far from the professionnal's ball (virtuo / synergie and barbarian)
Is rugby🏉 popular in 🏴? Or the whole 🇬🇧?
