The fact that Tan made it to the final round is a small miracle. In both the 1st and 4th rounds, Tan was so close to being eliminated, only to be saved at the last second by the skin of their teeth. In round 1, they were 2 gold away from being eliminated (13 vs 11), and in round 4 they were 12 gold away (628 vs 616).

the multiply and release was so exciting, yellow almost lost but he qualified last second!
Rainbow was so nervewracking to root for cause it kept getting really low and making terrible shots only to hit 1 *really* good one and get back into a good place lmao, especially in the last 6 seconds of the finale 🤣

Yellow you put up one hell of a fight!
Rounds 1-3 they only made it through on average level, just skimming their way through the pack, not drawing much attention.
Then Round 4 they suddenly pop off with first place!
Round 5 was intense, Yellow went for a faulty strategy not focusing enough on multiplying, and only realized at the last second. An extremely clutch shot managed to prevent Tan from taking the final middle pieces, allowing a narrow qualification! RIP Brown.
Round 6 they started with a HUGE disadvantage, but they only used that to their gain. Red infected a huge portion of their hoard right in the last 20 seconds, but Yellow immediately retaliated with a counter-infect taking all of it back and more!
However with everyone now too focused on Yellow, Rainbow was able to swoop in and take the win. A sad fate, but Yellow getting second place is extraordinary. Well done, Yellow.

MIKAN’s Gold Battle - Elimination Marble Race
Rounds and How to Play
24 colored teams battle it out in series of Gold Battle rounds. All teams must stay away from last four drop-off positions each round to boost their chances winning the Marble Race!
Round 1: Normal
24 teams
Teams will shoot cannons on one of hexagonal gold bar mine’s pieces to earn points. Teams can earn gold bars worth 1, 2, 6, 12 and 24 points. The round ends when all gold bar pieces are wiped out.
4 bottom teams after the end of the round will be eliminated. Additionally, last placed team will not be able to compete on the next marble race.
Round 2: Penetrate
20 teams
Time limit: 3 minutes
Teams will shoot cannons loaded with penetrating shells on gold bar pieces from the triangular gold mine. With penetrating shells, teams can earn multiple pieces of gold which worth 1, 2 and 24 points. Gold pieces regenerate seconds after being shot. Round ends when time limit runs out.
4 bottom teams after the end of the round will be eliminated.
Round 3: Bomb
16 teams
Teams will shoot bombs on gold bar pieces from the rectangular gold mine. As with Round 3, teams now can bomb in a radius and blow up multiple pieces of gold which worth 1 and 2 points. Teams can also enlarge the cannon to widen radius and increase power, creating higher chance to earn bigger points per shot. Round ends after all the gold pieces in the mine are shot.
4 bottom teams after the end of the round will be eliminated.
Round 4:
12 teams
Time limit: 3 minutes
Teams will shoot the gold bar that moves and spreads all over the place. To earn most points as possible in a single shot, teams must shoot the gold pieces and make them collide into one another, creating a domino effect. Gold pieces will eventually respawn in the center of the field, where the infection in that area will grant teams more points. Round ends when time limit runs out.
4 bottom teams after the end of the round will be eliminated.
Round 5: Multiply or Release
8 teams
In a similar manner to traditional Multiply or Release, players will be able to shoot multiple shells on the gold pieces assembled in a mine. Teams can choose either to shoot or charge power by using Multiply panel to get a chance to obtain bigger points in a single Release. Game ends after all gold pieces are shot.
4 bottom teams after the end of the round will be eliminated.
Final: Scramble
4 teams
Time limit: 3 minutes
Teams start with the amount of Gold gained from the previous Round. Teams can either bomb the opponents’ barricade or gold, or infect the array of gold to steal them in radius or domino effect to their own possession. Throughout the round the gold piece worth 64 points will appear and each team will be able to possess it to gain advantage over their opponents. Round ends when time limit runs out.
The team who holds the most marbles at the end of the game wins the MIKAN’s Gold Battle - Elimination Marble Race Tournament!

How about another survival/elimination race but each marble has their own trait. Lets say red can shoot flamethrower, white shoots lasers, monochrome can become invisible and go through walls, blue makes barriers etc. Don't know whether or should be marble race, cannons, tanks or anything. Just something to make each of them unique. Maybe even randomise their traits at the beginning, idk something that involves this idea. It might be advantageous against other marbles but that's part of the fun
