I was devistated when my TWRP backup got corrupted, but you saved my bacon!! With the Original Firmware link provided, I was able to return my HK1 box back to Factory. Thank you!!
I thought I would add my experience here for others. As a previous poster mentioned, on my board also it was the diagonal connector that was the update port. I HAD to dismantle device and bridge 2 pads on the underneath of the board to enter mask rom mode there was no other way. The license folder is required for USB burning tool. I also had to have power connected to get a successful flash. When searching for info keep in mind the 'Vontar x3' is 100% compatible with this device. Hope that helps.

i just got an HK1 box, was having a really difficult time getting USB burning tool to recognize, i opened it up to see if there was something screwy going on inside, and i noticed that the diagonal/corner usb port was labeled update on the pcb, tried the reset-conntection method again, and it worked.
They're great little emulation boxes on the cheap. Surprising that nothing really has come to challenge it at the price point. Saying that- it's become even more of a decent buy considering pi4 have now shot up in price. Glad to hear you're set ☺️
I had similar issues, till I figured you have to hold in the AV switch then plug into USB Burning tool v2.2.4, and it was able to communicate perfectly!
My HK1BOX got a custom rom which ask for a customer pin (such as a IPTV service) so basically decide to get the Stock ROM or something else. Finally when the tool recognized my box I installed Aiden’s Rom and when it finished the box didn’t show but a black screen and red and blue lights, i tried many ways to connected to my laptop with no success. I did the exact steps and I have the IMG and stuff . Please help!

For 905m, use 3.9 the non- Ng version... Dtb you'd have to experiment. We made a video on installing emuelec and finding out your dtb file, that should help.
I have a HK1 RBox that's stuck in boot mode. Tried resetting to factory settings, but nothing happens. Android thing pops up and says nothing found. I disconnect and connect the power source 3-4 times and it lowers up like nothing happens. 🤷 But later it just starts booting again. 🤦 Any guess on how to fix this?
The hk1 rbox is another system altogether running a rockchip. Run a search for the chip and recovery instead of hk1 box. This video is for an amlogic device.

Hello, I recently bought HK1 BOX but I am having issue with X3 T3 Bluetooth Gamepad Joystick it acts crazy it stops from working after few seconds and it come back after but without disconnect error, I have second spare but its the same its android tv issue. I just want to ask because some are saying this things overheat. Does PlayStation One emulation overheat on these things? Can you play PlayStation One non stop like 4 to 6 hours without worry?
Ps1 games are fine. It's a passive unit so it naturally will get hotter than an active cooling unit, but for us it didn't throttle like the super console X cube. We need to remember that even if it can get hot, this is still an incredibly cheap solution, so making DIY air vents can be done if it heat bothers you.
Does this device have no slow downs on original resolution up to PSOne with minimum of 2 players? Does plugging a 2nd controller on the 2.0 USB port have input lag or performance slowdowns? Does plugging 3.0 USB port to play 4 players work flawlessly up to PSOne?

Not sure why my previous comment was deleted, but this wasn't an issue with my HK1 box running the latest (2021) firmware. If you use the "Reboot to Libreelec" app from the Play Store to boot into Emuelec the first time, it not only works but the HK1 will boot straight from the sd card without the app every time after. Maybe it won't work for everyone, but mine is running beautifully without having to do any of the steps in this video.
Me neither. Was trying to reply to it. 😂 Basically some firmware block or make loading up from the microsd difficult / instable. - Reboot to emuelec is unrelated. All possible routes were explored with the boxes with issues

I bought this box and successfully got EmuELEC up and running on the box, but it doesn't detect the PS4 controllers I bought for this no matter what. I've spent hours trying to get EmuELEC to detect them -- no dice. What might be the problem? I don't even know where to ask. Seems like out of everyone, though, you're likely to be the one who knows an answer.

Hi! Great video. I Cannot get my PC to recognize the HK1 box using either version. I installed both as instructed. Should I expect to hear the usb device found sound? Mine just loads up to boot. Does it need the SD Card in it? It's just not showing up.

@@TeamPandory I tried different USB ports on my PC and my laptop and that didn't work. I only have the one male to male USB cable. It was getting picked up by my PC when I used the corner port on the box, my PC was just not picking it up with the side port. So I followed your guide instead to install Emuelec on the eMMc, as I don't want to use Android on it, and now it will boot up from my micro sd card every-time. Thanks for your help

@@rrazak74 There has to be something different if it's not working for you. Are you certain it's an s905x3 unit? We're using Windows 10 in this tutorial, using administrator mode. Perhaps try another USB cable, or connect it to another USB port, or another computer entirely.
Unsure. We don't have a beelink king, or any of the firmware. You should be able to place the firmware in a USB slot and have it work that way. Quick work around... Or install it to the flash... If you're feeling dangerous (check our other videos)

@@ygalelfassy4056 905x4 are usually sold as working with Google assistant, correct? If that is the case, then emuelec cannot be used as these boxes cannot be rooted. If it IS rootable, then you can try using the emuelec install guide with a 905x3 dtb, and it MIGHT work.
@@TeamPandory The thing is that everything was normal and worked well only since I took the card out I made a copy and pasted it to the computer for a backup so I returned the card and since then the card does not load
@@ygalelfassy4056 Sorry, there's little to nothing to help as there are too many factors at play that could stop your android box from booting up. I'd maybe suggest checking out some Android boards and then posting exactly what you've done, what's on the card (you shouldn't need anything on the microsd)- give as much information as possible and then hope someone knows their stuff about your 905x4 box.

I did everything you described in the tutorial, but the Amlogic Burn Tool program does not see the HK1 Box device. What can I do?
Try another computer or usb cable. Is the hk1 box you have an amlogic s905x3?

No micro SD. Should work like the video. Are you using the correct usb port? - holding the root button down? Is your hk1box one with the 905x3 chip?

It's pretty difficult to help without knowing more information. You could try again or use different memory stick/ usb slot.
