Camera and editing crew deserves a huge congratulations David. Enjoy the stop action with the parts moving and the vintage add voice overs. Truly a great team effort. Keep the videos coming.
I still have my 1970 CT 70. My dad bought it for me new when I was 9 for 300 dollars. I always said I would restore it when I retire. Thanks for the video these bikes hold a big place in my heart. I think I put 6000 miles on it in the yard.
"Some don't believe in growing old" This quote can't be more appropriate. Watching Davin having fun with this iconic machine after all of this fantastic job will just *never* age.
I was 12/13 in the very early 70’s and knew another kid who had one of these and I wanted one sooo bad. This is so cool, super job on the restoration. I forgot all about these. I’m in my mid 60’s now and if I could find one, I’m sure would cost an arm and leg, it would be cool to share with one of my grandsons, na, I’d keep it for myself.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This guy is more skilled, than McGyver. He is awesome. Give him a time and he can repair or rebuild everything from car and motorcycles to space ship. No matter 4stroke, 2stroke, diesel or petrol...INSANE skills. I love this.
This puts such a smile on my face. My first motorcycle was a Honda Z50 passed down to me from my mother. I think it may finally be time to bust into my dad's garage, bring it to my house, and get her ready to roll when my daughter gets old enough. Cheers guys!
The level of skill necessary to rebuild a machine like that is remarkable. Then I think about the engineering to create a machine like that is mind blowing
That is so cute, it'll put a smile on your face every time. I love that you guys treat every engine no matter what size with equal respect. True professionals.
Great work Davin, another restoration checked off! The editing is insane and it's nice to see a variety of projects, not just necessarily cars. Keep them coming
I swallowed my tongue, no words. Perfect hands and video editing. I love your channel, although I am from Russia, but I have never seen such high-quality content. Thank you from my soul that you and your channel are Super !!!
No boasting, very modest but the best time lapse content I’ve seen in ages, let alone a free to view TH-cam channel. Honestly I this is premium quality entertainment you won’t find on paid subscription television, or at lest you’ll spend a lot of time searching for it. Great work.. !
Brought back some big memories....I had the first year trail 70 within 3 months of them being introduced. It was a gold one and had the three speed auto clutch. My dad paid 311.00 out the door for it....I had to pay him back, by mowing a bunch of lawns.i rode the thing many of a mile through the orange/ grapefruit groves in the Rio Grande valley (south Texas)....and later in the desert on the outskirts of Del Rio Texas. ( my dad was a Border Patrolman). Thanks for the memories compadre!!!
That was really an outstanding build on a relatable Icon. So happy to see one restored the correct way !!!! Thanks so much for this one !! I am headed to the garage to work on the 2008 Mustang Bullitt. Mike Fifer
What an incredible series of videos on the Trail 70. Thank you taking us along on this rebuild! I had a Honda QA 50 and a older friend had the Trail 70 back in the early "1970s" this really brought back a lot of memories! Thanks again!
I had one to ride back in the day, my oldest brother just came out of the army and got a job working on this lady‘s 600 acre estate, it was 1971 I just turned 11 years old my brother rolled out two of those for me and my other brother an sister to ride around the whole estate with for the rest of the summer best times and great memories., God bless it he’s still alive..,
Get'cha motor runnin - Head out on th' highway - Born to be wild!!! This was a cool series, brought back a lot of good memories. Good Job Davin, and your videographer deserves a raise!
Supper groovy. The bike I always wanted but couldn’t get when I was a kid and now forget it everyone thinks they are worth a million for a bare frame. You did this legend some serious justice. If you ever get bored I’ll stick it right in my living room
Hi Davin, I watched your videos with great happiness and it is with great pleasure to see you realize the rebirth of a magnificent little beast of my time ...
Amazing how those Hondas seem disassemble and reassemble themselves when you're not there. What is old is new again... great result. Nice editing as well.
I’m restoring my 1969 Honda Dax ST70 and your videos really helped me . Fantastic videos and work 👍👍 exceptional eye for detail and Thank you . Hi from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺 😀
Always living for the time lapse and first start! Memories coming back, I brought two of these back from Japan in 1989 after service in the Marines. I drove these little bikes all over Iwakuni. Lots of fun. You always do a super attention to detail, job.
I had one of those as a kid. Loved it! Mine was a 4 speed, which I was told was rare. Too bad I sold it what feels like eons ago, Best of luck with it. Cheers!
When I was 14 I owned the full size manual transmission version of this known as the Honda CL70. It was blue and silver. Many memories were made on that bike.
Супер реставрация! А качество съемки и монтажа вообще поражает. Вашими видео наслаждаюсь, часто пересматриваю просто для удовольствия. Hello from Russia 👍
That is a sight to behold! One of my favorite little bikes from back in the day. Davin, you are a masterful restorationist!!! I've enjoyed so much happiness watching this build. 💜
The CT70 was a great little bike, I worked on them at the local Honda shop. I believe they came out in 1969. Davin this is one beautiful bike, Thanks for the memories!
This is my third time watching this video. I love it! The advertising voiceover in the background with the music suited this restoration perfectly. This one, and the Ford Flathead V8 are the ones I keep watching over and over.
As a kid, I was dying to have one. We were quite a poor family though, so no way I could get. But, years later, when I started college, I bought a well worn out Cub 50 from a friend. I did as Davin and took it apart, cleaned it, putbin new rings and brake linings. That’s it. It took me dependably through collège without a single glitch. I gave it to my younger bro who rode it through college too ! Incredible lil’ machine !.
That's some fantastic video editing work. No small feat. Awesome job on the restoration and you captured the pure joy of riding a motorcycle. Wish more people would ditch the brick and get on two wheels.
Hi! Very good summary of this long project, the music was just right! And Davin was back in his youth, just look at that big smile! I remember my youth when I did my first rides on a moped. But in order to ride, the moped had to be repaired a lot.
Просто невероятно как преобразился этот gasoline bike. Всë настолько досконально было реставрировано что теперь эта хонда теперь новая. Невероятно талантливо и красиво! You the best
It belonged to my friend who's family had two, but as a kid I would right one all the time. It was my first mini-bike until I got my own Honda XL 70 (which was also orange). Still holds a place in my heart.
Insanely awesome...I just bead blasted a trail 70 frame for a customer at work last week. I had to look up the trail 70 I hadn't been around them for over 15 years.
Gorgeous..... awesome Job! I had the exact same bike when J was a kid. Acquired it at 13 years old and it barely ran. Bought the Honda service manual and a $15 wrench set and rebuilt the motor and it ran like a monster. Although I’m not a professional mechanic; I did attend a trade school and learned how to wrench because of that bike. And to this day I do all of my own work because of that bike. Love it, I have to find one if these to restore! I would ride is in the rain, the snow, you couldn’t get me off of that bike. I wish Honda would to a retro like they did with the monkey bike! Great Job, Happy New Year!
When i was a kid, those 70cc engine were so reliable, that almost every small displacement Honda bike in Indonesia, used those engine design as a base for development. This video brings back many memories back in the old days Love it! ❤️❤️❤️
Just awesome Davin. Great ending video for this build, love the snippets from Honda own advertising; really enjoyable. Great to see 'Dad' teaching the 'young' man some nifty things. Fan Sydney Australia. 💚
I learned to right a motorcycle on the Honda CT70 when I was a kid. The one I rode had a manual clutch. My dad loved that bike too because he would just putt around outside the campground in second gear at idle.
This is one of the most beautiful, satisfying, lovingly filmed things I've seen in ages and ages. The camera work on the time lapse & stop motion segments was 😗👌

That video was way cool. I had a trail 50 when I was a young lady back in the 70's.
I had one to ride back in the day, my oldest brother just came out of the army and got a job working on this lady‘s 600 acre estate, it was 1971 I just turned 11 years old my brother rolled out two of those for me and my other brother an sister to ride around the whole estate with for the rest of the summer best times and great memories., God bless it he’s still alive..,
Omg! This was my first bike. That little thing could barely get up an incline, but gave me some of the best times of my childhood.
Those little bikes are so fun. I can't ever stop smiling whenever I ride one. I've never seen a restoration this good before. Nice work!
Perfectly rebuilt, filmed and edited. And MAN what a bike. Thanks for this!
Best video yet. Amazing filming and project. Thanks!
Excellent job! Nothing like a trusty Honda, they are like old friends!!!
Get'cha motor runnin - Head out on th' highway - Born to be wild!!! This was a cool series, brought back a lot of good memories. Good Job Davin, and your videographer deserves a raise!

I might not care about bikes but thsi video is INSANE. Perfectly paced, YES
So satisfying! This have to be the best production bike ever made. It ignited my passion for bikes as it did for so many kids around the globe.
