    I've had an SB20 since winter of 2020. I use it five or more times a week in the winter. It connects to Zwift and TrainerRoad very well on various tablets and phones. It's a great trainer and has been problem free for me. It's built like a commercial spin bike, you will not wear it out physically. It's silent, does not creak at all and the massive flywheel makes it very smooth. The power data is not smoothed like a Wahoo, what you see is what you're actually doing. Highly recommend this bike.

    Very happy SB20 customer. Some initial power meter issues dealt with really quickly by support in UK. Since then no problems, and the thing is built like a tank 👍

      Hi, my power reads consistently higher (10w) compared to my Rally pedals. What did the UK team do? I’ve emailed Saddleback (distributor) and am waiting for their reply but would be good to know if your issue was power accuracy. Thanks.

      Can you coast on the bike like a road bike or does the flywheel pull the pedals like a spinner bike.

    It took me awhile to work out an issue when I first bought my bike (replaced a power meter). Recently, many US customers are having problems with Stages support. It is becoming a BIG problem for Stages. It will begin to affect the bottom line if they don’t start responding to warranty issues in a timely manner. It is a good bike and would be GREAT if customer service improved.

    I've been riding this bike for 2 years and never had a problem. the settings are super easy (Stage bike is present in many gyms). Changing the battery for the power meter is as easy as on a normal force sensor. I recommend this bike to all future indoor bikers.

    Love my SB20, have owned it since October 2020 and still rock solid. For anyone concerned about power meter battery life, my batteries last almost a year and changing them is super simple, takes only a minute or two. It was worth it to me full price, at $1900 it is a steal!

    Nice video. Another happy SB20 owner here for 18 months. Built like a tank. Used 3-4 times a week. I had an issue with right side power meter, Stages and Saddleback support shipped me a next day replacement under 2 year warranty. The one thing I would like is gear shifters on the brake levers similar to my road bike.

    Very good bike, but I also had power meter problems and replacement circuit board. Fixed via Stages on-line and visit from service engineer under the guarantee. I do find the power meter batteries need changing every 3 months which are a bit fiddly in the garage in winter. The bike is a joy to ride and I have ridden over ten thousand miles on it so I think it has paid for itself. I use Zwift for all my rides.

    So glad that I watched this review. I was just about to press buy on a Wattbike Atom, but I was surprised at how loud the Atom is. This bike is not only super silent, but it also has the multi length crank option as well as the much easier adjustment on all parts of the bike (Atom requires allen key for bar fore /aft). Plus it's cheaper too!

    I just ordered one, I have a Zwift One but is getting crazy of swooping bikes on it between my wife and I. (Through axel and QR).
    It also makes it easier to let our kids go for a ride on the trainer.
    BTW it will go on the SARIS MP1 I have - it's going to be interesting to see how that works with the much heavier trainer - altough the MP1 should be tested with up to 350lbs, so we have a good margin.

    I have had a stages SB20 in the UK since September. It has performed well quiet and comfortable. Batteries down to 56% as of last night. My wife uses it too and is very easy to adjust especially as we use the same crank length. All in all very pleased. Does need a fixed display for gearing as their SC3 gym bike has. Plus internal power reading and wahoo bike style shifters would be great. I am some of these could be retro fitted. Would be great to see stages address those things.

    I have this bike and though it is giving me some trouble right now, that Stages is working through with me, I have to agree about the batteries. If a watch can run on those button batteries and be recharged, why can't Stages design recharging into their power meters? Seems like a no-brainer.

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It doesn’t have descent simulation like the Tacx or Kickr bike but the heavy flywheel will spin for a long time and give you plenty of momentum on descents if you just want to coast down.

      @MarkRiddellRacing 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GuyAnthuenis Yes it is. Because although flywheel is spinning, Zwift is only taking power from the power meters. The spinning of the flywheel has no effect in Zwift. So sprinting sucks too because it is hard to spin it up quickly and you miss the jump.

    Another rock solid review. During Black Friday it dropped on Competitive Cyclist to $1799 before they sold out, but I was wondering if one was buying a soon-to-be obsolete bike. While a great price for an indoor smart bikes, it's still a serious chunk of cash. This review really helped. And beautiful improvisation on the tongue twister. @tinshield ปีที่แล้ว

    I’ve had mine for a couple years and not too many complaints. I echo the desire for a built in display. Also, the fore and aft of the bars is inadequate. I’m 5’10” and have the bars as far back as they’ll go. I think some will end up with too much reach. I’m not sure why they didn’t build in more adjustability there.

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m 6’ and didn’t have an issue replicating my fit on the SB20. But they can always give more room to fit wider range of riders for sure. I’m guessing some of that have to do with keeping the bike design under certain measurement for shipping or keeping cost down. Thank you for your feedback 🙏🏼

    I've had my eye on a Stages SB20 for the past couple months. I started cycling during the pandemic using a singlespeed bike on a Tacx Vortex smart trainer. It's starting to hold me back as without gearing options 600 watts seems to be the limit. After two years on it I feel like now is the time to jump to a long term indoor solution, as I know I'll be sticking with cycling as my main sport moving forward. The SB20 seems to be rock solid and a great long term investment, I'll probably be biting the bullet sometime after Christmas to get up and running in the new year.
    How has the bike held up since you got it ? Is there any wear and tear or issues you've faced ? It seems rock solid from all the reviews I've read but nobody seems to have provided feedback after using it for a couple of years.

The customer service is nonexistent (8 weeks for me, not a single reply from the company for my NEW non-functional bike bought direct from Stages.) It's so bad I had to call my credit card company, and after they failed completely to get anybody to respond to their requests, they just flat out refunded me the full amount I paid ($2700ish). I still have a completely dead bike sitting in my garage, but rumor is that the circuit board part shortage for these bikes is so bad that they can't even do any repairs for the upcoming future in the US. If anything goes wrong (and the thing that went wrong with my bike is apparently so common that they have an entire webpage devoted to it, and as well, has been mentioned repeatedly on a FB user group), you are out of luck.
