- Thanks to all my subscribers sorry its been a while since my last video. Scored these 2 cr60r Hondas a few months back. After a quick topend rebuild they are both ready for action. This is not a cold start bike ran for about 5 minutes before I shot this video. Check out my channel for more videos of sweet stuff!
This was my first real motorcycle. The sound especially brought back those feelings. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for your comment. When I was young my neighbor had one that was broke down and we would just roll around the yard on it ever since then I had one at one took me years to finally find one will never let it go.
@@Tallbike I still have mine, and I don't know if I should spend the money to restore it, or just hang it in the garage rafters. If I restore it, I'll never get the money back, and if I reproduce, my kid will need something more modern. Tough choices.
I got an 1984 I called a local hond a shop in Morgantown WV about 4 years ago and low and behold his son raced a little cr60 back in 1983 and had 8 new piston kits everything to make the top new but he would only sell me one I try like hell to get them all but he wouldn't come off the other 7 I still have the piston kit in a lock box and still I still haven't rebuilt it yet I even bought a like new gas tank new front and rear new old stock side covers and front and rear finders still have them in a box I just haven't got the the urge to build it yet but I'm starting to now finally my grandson's is 4 years old I think it'll make a good first bike

Those cr 60s are bad ass had one that would keep up with a 125
I got atv but my dad said when he was around 12 he had it was so little but could go like 55 to 60 and he said since so fast and so little if you don't lean forward for would to fly off for 1984 dirt bike it's cool
Also are these have more power then Kx 60's? I always hear people say these have more balls then any other 60cc bikes.
in my opinion the cr60 looks better sounds better but stock bike to stock bike I think a 1983 kx60 would be faster the Kawasaki had a bigger carb that year.
did you just slap in the big bore yamaha ysr piston without any modifications to the jug or head? i would love to know because i too picked up a nice 83 but its needs a top end soon. thank you.
1983cr60 I honed The Jug to the correct size did nothing to the Head. Can't remember what the dimensions of the Piston was it's been so long you can also call Wiseco and they can cross reference a piston for you
That's actually a 1984 because it has taller front suspension aside the 1983 bike have shorter front forks.
Where can you get topend kits for them. I am in need of one for my 83 and can't find one. Any help would be great! Thanks.
I have since found out that the Piston I use was a big bore piston for a Yamaha ysr50. I recently rebuilt the other bike in the video and that is the Piston I used for that one.
Looked like an 84 with the front number plate it has the two nubs that go into the forks
steven mays you are correct the one that is running in the video is a 1984 the one in the background is a 1983
