This man is FLYING. I first witnessed David while camping near Leadville this year; I went out to Turquoise Lake around sunset, right as he came flying through, pushing this same breakneck pace after 90+ miles. Two months later and I'm training for my first 50K in Moab. To say this guy is an inspiration is an understatement. On an editing note, the way you balance the music with the crunch of footsteps on trail is badass.

Hands down one of the best running performances I've ever seen. In heat like that, maintaining that speed and the composure to verbally express thanks and fist bump his son...phenomenal. Absolutely love but wish there wasn't music laid over. Just listen to the footsteps and panting.
Math question. Could a runner have been lapped 4 times by Roche in the first loop of the hundred and still make the 30hr cutoff?
I would be so irritated to have a bike following that close and to hear the spinning of the wheels. The best part about being out on trail is to enjoy the outdoors and be alone in the moment. But I suppose it is a privilege and you'd have to be on a bike to keep up with David :)
