You don’t need to be rich to help people. You can volunteer at a food bank, homeless shelter, free health clinic, and many other places and make a big Impact! Hope this helps!
Totally agree, Amanda! You definitely don’t have to be rich to help people! I’ve been trying to volunteer with ROOTS, but I’m on the waitlist right now because of their full schedule for times I’ve available. So yes, I totally agree that volunteering is super important and impactful, but as part of our future goals, we want to reach and help as many people as possible, and if we want to do certain things on a large scale, it might require some money. Hope that gives a more detailed explanation :)
I'm just confused how can you guys have a no one is worth my time mentally and then say that you want to help people. Just donating money is not helping people. You actually have to give your time and effort toward them. You guys seem very self orientated, which is fine but don't lie to yourself saying that you want to make money to help people. Y'all just wanna be "extremely wealthy"😂
Oh boy, I wish I explained this better in the video. It’s not a “no one is worth my time” mentality! What I was referencing was more so like this example: would I rather spend my Saturday night hanging out with the people in college who go to parties and get wasted? OR would I rather spend my time making TH-cam videos by myself? So many people drink/smoke/party in college, and that is just something I never want to associate myself with. Unfortunately, I haven’t found that many people in college that are likeminded/have similar ideas of what “fun” looks like, and when I do find these people, of course I’d love to spend time with them! That’s more so what I was talking about. Also, we do NOT plan to “just donate money” because we know that there needs to be action that goes behind that, and I wish I would have clarified that in the video before you assumed incorrectly.
is it really possible to use your money for good, when that money itself was "earned" via the exploitation of someone else? there are no good billionaires because you cannot become a billionaire (esp. in america) without stepping on the backs of the working class... just my opinion i suppose L O L 😀
