Herat, Afghanistan like a LOCAL! 🇦🇫

- Travel to Herat, Afghanistan in 2024 and discover the massive Friday Temple, Malan Bridge, Alexander the Great Citadel, a buzzing bazaar and so many friendly Afghani people. Herat is not far from Iran and you can tell by the architecture of the bridge which is similar to the one I found in Isfahan.
The Afghan people I met in Herat were truly hospitable as were the many Taliban who I met. Many of the Taliban were tourists themselves and wanted selfies with me, the American. Some even gave me a gift... but WHY on earth did the Taliban give me a cucumber as a gift?

مردم افغانی که در هرات ملاقات کردم، مانند بسیاری از طالبان که ملاقات کردم، واقعا مهمان نواز بودند. بسیاری از طالبان خودشان توریست بودند و می خواستند با من آمریکایی سلفی بگیرند. حتی برخی به من هدیه دادند... اما چرا طالبان به من یک خیار هدیه دادند؟
